The change in the weather has brought with it the urge to cast on all the things. And, really it is not that I do not have enough knitting going on, because I definitely do.
But, despite that fact… yesterday I cast on my first Hitchhiker. Oh, and Bonny was right – that Smooshy will be divine.
I need to lock myself away with my stack of audio books and ignore the world and knit.
I am a little more than halfway through I am No One – up next in the queue is a bit of George Orwell.
As for the reading but not listening – it seems a bit of the same issue as the knitting. Tana French Book One started – and the library just let me know that Fredrik Backman’s latest book, And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer, is available. I have so much reading to get through!
Yep, ignoring the world is definitely in order!
Linking up with Ginny’s Yarn Along as usual! Happy Wednesday everyone!
A plethora of knitting and reading – those are good issues to have to deal with. I LOVE your Smooshy; that is going to make an exceptional Hitchhiker!
Yes, reading and knitting are good problems to have – lol. I may need to jump on the hitchhiker bandwagon. Yours is looking lovely.
I intend to ignore the world for the next few days!
Beautiful color! I might have to break my rule and start something new…
I want to knit a Hitchhiker too, but have told myself I must finish one other project before casting on …
My problem is that I obsess over something, and then I get distracted thinking of cake or the like, and lose track. 🙂
Yes! This is how I get through my evenings…knitting and/or reading and ignoring the world!
I love the idea of shutting myself away with books and knitting.
I try to grab a little such time every day — but it’s never enough!
It seems like everyone is doing a Hitchhiker. I love the yarn you’ve chosen, but for some reason, the pattern hasn’t called out to me.
I can’t think of a better diversion than knitting with that yarn (and listening to a book)!
I am jealous — I would love to lock myself up with my knitting and books for a few days!
So many books . . . always, always so many books! My knitting has sort of stalled out of late. I blame the change in the weather . . . I love the colors of your hitchhiker!
So pretty!!
Get away from the world and knit and read? Yes please. I love to cast things on. Not so great at finishing. And I have a plethora of projects that need just that.
I really loved Backman’s new book….I read it when it first came out. Wishing I was near enough to you to catch some of this ‘startitis’….I’m totally uninspired and just want to mess with my camera. I think that has something to do with the crazy temps lately!!! Maybe another shawl? Maybe socks? Maybe I’ll just wind yarn for awhile.
beautiful and an awesome colorway to be knitting with!!
