As I sit here today with the window open, drinking coffee and listening to the birds singing gloriously – it is a very un-February-like morning. All week it has been in the unbelievable – well into the 60’s for much of the week and all this warm weather has made Sherman the happiest of Pugs!
Apparently Spring is the new Winter…next week it does not look quite as warm, but these temperatures are still not normal.
All this crazy weather makes me think of warm weather knitting… shawls and the like.
And, gardening…Planting.All.The.Things.
It is the perfect being-out-of-doors weather!
So, how about some links so we can get on with our Friday?!
- Something new from Lori Versaci that Mary might need to add to her queue!
- This sweater looks so comfortable (and on sale through the end of today)
- The Pathways Blanket is brilliant! (Plus portable in the square knitting phase)
- More “squares knitting”
- Light and breezy knitting – Softly Spoken and Jurata
- Finally, a new pattern from a local Pittsburgher – Two Roads Diverged – the perfect use for that highly variegated skein of sock yarn!
That is all I have for today – have a fantastic weekend everyone! See you back here on Monday!
Hey, thanks for the link!
As concerned as this early warm weather makes me, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t enjoying it. It makes me so happy to hear the birds tweeting and see all the flowers coming up.
All of a sudden – because of the weather – my entire knitting queue needs to be rebuilt! Happens every year when spring beckons . . . just didn’t expect it quite so early this time. Have a great weekend. XO
Lovely links! Ugh. The weather! Two days ago I was playing in the park and today I’m listening to the sound that the dreaded “wintry mix” makes when it hits the windows. Ick.
Great links as always – thanks! Yes, Spring Fever here (before rain and cooler temps on Monday). I’m bolting from work early to enjoy the Spring-like weather. Have a fabulous weekend!
I’m grateful for the unseasonable warmth as it’s the perfect day to dry laundry on the line, but it still feels very weird. Pathways is indeed brilliant; I may be shopping for some Silk Garden soon. Happy Weekend!
Just wait. Our temperature Friday was 65. Saturday it was 35. All week has been cold and snowy. Today it will struggle to reach 30. I hear a slight warm up could be coming by NEXT weekend. ugh
This weather is crazy – and a bit scary. It was 75 yesterday in Harrisburg and is supposed to get close to 80 today.
Crazy weather here, too. Cherry trees are starting to bloom on the Mall.
I LOVE Sherman’s face! he didn’t show up in my feed reader … only had that treat when I clicked through 🙂 … yes! Lori’s vest is awesome – I’m just waiting to see if my LYS gets a good (new) DK yarn to knit it with!
we had near 80 degrees on Friday, it was insane. But nice! Now we are in the mid 40’s and hugging 50’s. I like that I guess. Love the photo of your sweet pup!!
