Knitting and reading have been in a bit of a holding pattern.
I am almost done with A Rule Against Murder with Inspector Gamache. I should have it finished later today.
Up next is this gem from the library. I simply loved Norwegian by Night and I hope I love The Girl in Green as well.
I keep thinking I just have a few more inches to go, but I don’t seem to be getting there. After yesterday’s internal debate about ripping back, the ‘make it perfect’ voice inside me won out, I ripped back and added in the shaping…but!!! This allowed me to try the sweater on again and yep, I now have about 3 inches to go before I have some additional short row shaping and then the ribbing. So, the body is soooo close to being done! I am actually looking forward to getting to Sleeve Island!! Good thing there is a new season of The Bridge available.
Happy Wednesday!
We both had travails with our stitchin’ projects…deep breath today I shall succeed, fingers crossed. Congrats on your triumph! Look fwd to seeing the next phase…
Cheers~
It seems that every large project enters that odd time warp where we knit and knit but don’t seem to get any farther. I know that soon you’ll get past those three inches and bask on the beaches of sleeve island. That great gray looks so soft and I think it goes well with your book cover!
I hear you on the knitting not moving forward. I have been working on the same flipping Peace Cowl for weeks and weeks and I swear it hasn’t gotten any bigger.
At least you’re knitting, AND you’re knitting great things. My knitting is rare, but I am closing in on finishing a pair of socks!
I love Inspector Gamache. I’ve been keeping my knitting to shawls. I don’t think I wore a sweater once this last winter!
I had really hoped to finish a deadline project last night, but I need to knit a few more rounds tonight. The good news is that I finished my very long book so I can start something new!
You can do it!
That sweater will be worth every minute! It’s always amazing to me . . . how some projects just seem to get stuck in a time warp for awhile. (But like Margene says . . . at least you’re knitting!) 😉
I’m glad you listened to your inner voice; that sweater is going to be worth every stitch! Season 3 of Grace and Frankie is going on my watch list – but it’s going to wait until after I finish Patrick Melrose. I’m on book 4 and it’s really good (especially when I picture BC as Patrick 😉
I just started my first Louise Penny….let’s just say I’m beyond hooked 🙂 lovely sweater in the making 🙂
