This week, the topic for Think Write Thursday is to write about your three favorite things to wear.
Well, hmmm. I am guessing PJ’s can’t be on the list? Or can they? But, truthfully – the topic caused me to think much about what I wear and why and do I really like it.
This even produced Tuesday’s post about trying to alter some clothes I had made that no longer fit. Yep, you guessed it – those things are all in that favorite category. However, you sewists out there shared your sage wisdom of the perils of that pathway and my alteration bubble has been deflated.
So, yes – lots of thought has been swirling around what I wear this week.
My favorites have less to do with what I like and more to do with what fits right now. I have several “swing dresses” from Old Navy (yes, super inexpensive but they are my work horses on this diet journey). Why? They fit the longest. And, that has become super important!
Then we move on the the utility category: I wear my iWatch every.single.day. It is a really awesome diet companion – it reminds me to get up and move if I have been sitting too long!
My final “current” favorite are my Nike Free Rn Flyknit shoes. Best.Purchase.Ever. Really. These things make me feel like I am walking on clouds! In my bare feet!
There you have it, a few of my favorite things to wear right now!

I have whittled my closet down to just a few items lately, things I wear over and over. It make getting dressed so much easier. I am in need of a new pair of shoes. Those shoes look great but sadly, I cannot wear Nike shoes. Happy almost weekevend.
You’ve got me thinking about why I wear what I wear, and I think it’s mainly about comfort and function for me. But it is also important to wear things that make you feel good, so I hope you can maybe make a new favorite or two. Thankfully, your i.watch and shoes still fit as you continue your wonderful success on your diet journey.
I think PJs totally count!
PJs and yoga pants for sure! and I LOVE my iWatch, too…
I need to do a major purge of my closet soon. I have a habit of holding onto clothes, even if I don’t wear them, if they’re still in good shape. I even have some pants from the beginning of my freshman year of college! (Whether they still fit me is another story.)
I totally agree about Old Navy dresses — I’m wearing one right now! They aren’t the best quality, but most of them are wash and wear and are good enough for my office dress code. And I don’t feel bad if they fall apart after a season of heavy wear.
Comfort is what draws most of us to our favorites. And pj would certainly count! I hope you can remake, or somehow save, one of your favorites. My uniform is jeans (or crops in summer) and T-shirts…black, usually.
PJs? Oh, definitely! I’m all about comfort and ease when it comes to clothes-wearing. (And I just got an Apple watch yesterday. So excited. . . )
Well, you know my thoughts and feelings about jammies: For the WIN, any day of the week. I’m toying with the idea of an iWatch – your comments are helping sway me…and gonna look into those shoes…you may be costing me big bucks ;-)).
Cheers~
