Today is all about traditions. And, this year those traditions seem more important than ever.
It can’t be the Independence Day without listening to Morning Edition’s reading of the Declaration of Independence.
Ever wonder about the science behind those beautiful fireworks we all love? Wonder no more!
And, finally, this poll on civility is so sad, perhaps today we could all practice simply being kind to one another.
Have a very Happy 4th everyone!
So appreciate these very important thoughts and reminders! Enjoy your July 4 too…and always remain fiercely independent and for the values expressed tho’ sadly, not lived to their fullest…just think what that might look like and be!
Cheers~
One of the reasons I enjoy our blog community so much is that we’re always civil, supportive, and so very kind and giving to one another (and others)! Happy 4th, Kat!
Thank you for reminding us of these important traditions, especially civility. Happy 4th to you & yours!
I love the science of fireworks. I’ve watched it twice today! If only they were silent! LOL
Thanks for sharing the fascinating fireworks video!
Oh Kat I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the NPR link on our 241st birthday as a Nation. How ironic some of it seemed . Fitting and a great post link
great links (I have to watch fireworks with the sound turned off ;-)! Happy 4th!!
Happy 4th! I think we could all benefit from being kind to one another.
Happy 4th of July! I listened to the reading and it made me cry. How have we gone so far off course?
