It’s Bracket Season… did you vote? Did any of you have trouble picking 8 patterns in all categories? I confess that I did.
I had gotten so much knitting time in during the Olympics and I was missing watching the games. But, thanks to March Madness, knitting time has ticked up again with all the games to watch! I got one entire repeat done on my Clauranach yesterday…only 4 or 5 more repeats to go in this half. And, suddenly, I am thinking that maybe I can get it done before Easter! More knitting time today as Round One continues!
Now, how about some links?
The Shetland Wool Week announced their 2018 Patron and you can get her Merrie Dancers Toorie hat pattern here.
Rachel Atkinson’s Daughter of a Shepherd Volume 1: Beginnings is available for pre-order.
Quince & Co has released their Sparrow 2018 Collection
I really love Rose by Andrea Mowry and Flat White by Casapinka
And, finally Still Waters Sleeveless in Purl Soho Linen Quill is a great transition knit!
That is all I have for this week! Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you back here on Monday!
I already downloaded my Shetland Wool Week pattern. I got to meet Elizabeth when we were in Shetland last summer
I rarely watch the games but do love hearing about the underdogs and upsets. Go Lipscomb and Texas Southern!
I look forward to your Friday links all week!
Thank you for reminding me that I still have to knit last year’s Shetland Wool Week pattern, oops.
I will stick to knitting my Sunday Morning. Focus is key to finish. TGIF!
Knitting brackets, no less! Oh well, we don’t watch basketball in these quarters. Is there a baseball knitting challenge ;-))?
Good luck!
I think I only loved 3-5 selections in each category and then filled in with something I would consider knitting if everything else is finished. Which will NEVER happen. LOL
Honore’, I’m with you with the baseball knitting challenge. 🙂
Sarah, I, too, love waiting for your list of links each Friday. 🙂
Have a great weekend watching all that basketball! I’ll have to find a bar with cable so I can catch a UConn Women’s game or two.
I am not into the games but I love your enthusiasm! I think my husband might watch some…so I will be watching passively. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
SO many fun patterns in that bracket!
We love the basketball! Great choices this week Kat, as always. Have a wonderful weekend!
I actually had trouble GETTING to 8 in each category. Seems I really like 3-4 designs in each bracket, but find the rest rather . . . meh. But I managed! 🙂 I’m not really into the basketball thing, but Tom and my dad are, so I’m getting exposure whether I want it or not.
Knit on, Kat! That yarn is just beautiful. XO
My students laughed when I mentioned my version of a bracket. Harumph!
Thank you for the kind offer to help me with my dad’s computer, it was an issue with his service provider and after an hour on the phone has been straightened out. 🙂
You find the best stuoff on the Web!
I love all your links. Really, how many more fabulous patterns can be designed?
But my favorite is the Shetland Hat. I will definitely be making that!
I had >8 picks in one category and <8 in the other three. But I managed to pick 8 in every bracket. What fun! (And what a time-suck that I could ill afford. But what fun!)
I’m really enjoying this year’s MM Bracket – I even added a sweater (Big Sister) to my queue when I was figuring out where to place my votes. So many great designers – this is really a wonderful way to spread the love. I also love the Sparrow collection. Sparrow is a great yarn for Atlanta and I hope to knit at least one or two of the pieces. (Buckley and Bolan are my current favorites)
