Little bits of time,
Every single day creates
Winter memories
When I originally “planned” this year of stitching, I had something much different in mind. And, so I began with that plan, but I was not happy with how it looked and so over the course of the first days of winter my stitching changed. I did not remove the parts I did not like, but rather I incorporated them into the design.
They are a good reminder for me, don’t undo – improve!
Winter had lots of snow, a good bit of sunshine to temper the grey days, swirling winds, and so many birds. I love the memories that this stitching holds.
I love the little pops of color mixed in. It really makes me think of the early flowers coming up in between the snow storms!
WOW! I love seeing the little bits of spring emerge toward the end … and then laughed out loud to see snow come after (and not just once or twice, right?!). Three months seems like a nice period to “cover” the canvas – how big is the piece overall?
Beautiful! Like Mary, I like the gradual brightening towards spring and also the incredible multitude of patterns you’ve stitched. And “don’t undo – improve” is often very good advice. Thanks for sharing your lovely stitching!
I love that idea of don’t undo, improve!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the slide show. Oh, how I’d love to see this in the flesh…Stitch on!
Cheers~
What beautiful stitching! And now on to some spring stitching.
I love this idea and I love how the end result looks! Very inspiring 😉
A wonderful metaphor for life, Kat. Don’t undo. Improve. XO
The stitching is beautiful — and such a cool, Cool, COOL way to mark your days.
I love the daily stitching and your evolution of pattern and thought. In the end it all comes together! Spring will be amazing!
