Closing in on the finish line of my Lucinda feels so very good. This weekend’s rain actually helped spur that finish along and just tiny bits of knitting remain.
That can mean but one thing, figuring out my Summer Knit Agenda and I think I have it mapped out fairly well:
First up, a new Vodka Lemonade out of Jaeger Trinity (which is some recently unearthed deep, deep, deep stash). All I need to do is swatch to confirm what size I am knitting and with what needles and that will hopefully be a quick little knit!
My Summer Knit Agenda also includes a Uniform Cardigan out of fingering weight Coast. I ordered the yarn this weekend from Denmark. Why? Believe it or not, the price was insanely better, and they had the color I wanted. I am still working out the recipe I want to knit, but I will have enough yarn to do whatever I’d like!
I also have some Quince Sparrow that will become a (hopefully) quickly completed Eavesdrop.
And, finally I like to knit Tegna with some vintage Briar Rose Fiber yarn.
The only other summer knitting plans I have are for these socks to get mates!
Now that I have my knits plotted out, I now need to organize my Bingo Card in a similar manner so that I have the perfect reads to go with these great knits! But, that is for another post!
What about you? Are you making plans for summer? What’s on your list?
No plans for me – I guess I’ll be flying by the seat of my pants – lol. But your choices and plans look lovely. I especially like Eavesdrop.
You are indeed an organized planner and your sock drawer is going to be full! My plans are a little looser; I’ve booked a trip to visit Ryan in CO in June, and plan to knit on the ever-present socks and Match & Move, read a bit, and oh, yeah, hopefully find a house. My sil just got back from DK and she says the yarn there is lovely; I’m looking forward to seeing yours!
Love what you’ve planned! I planning to knit two throws (gifts for Sara and for my mom), a couple of cardigans (including a fingering weight Uniform) and the TTL Mystery Shawl – everyone in my Monday afternoon knitting group is planning to participate this year … should be fun!
I expect I will be knitting my Boxy for at least part of the summer, if not all of it, but I have another sweater lined up for when I’m done. I don’t tend to knit lighter things in the summer than I do in the winter because I’m not troubled by having my lap covered in wool due to strong A/C, and it seems to be my year of the sweater.
I have no summer knitting plans but I’m in the process of making summer reading plans!
I’ve got a busy week this week but after that, I am going to sit down and plot out what I’d like to knit. My babysitting takes a break in the summer so that will free up loads of time π
Going where the spirit moves me. That’s my knitting plan for the summer! π
Your new sweater looks just lovely. Can’t wait to see it all finished up.
XO
Is there a particular site you get your Bingo from?
Yes!! Mary’s Blog!
I do want to knit a uniform cardigan but until I get through the end of the school year craziness, I donβt plan to plan ;). I am making a book bingo list!
I’ve been planing both my summer knitting and reading, but didn’t even think of either as a ‘thing’. My Bingo card is an easy one and should produce two or three bingos quite easily. I’ve also taken a huge leap, one you don’t usually see me take, as I’ve ordered yarn for a Calyx! I couldn’t resist after seeing Mary’s beauty. That means I’ve got more knitting going than ever before! Yikes.
