All the making makes me happy!
Thing One:
T-shirt Dress Number One is almost done!! But wait!! I am contemplating a second t-shirt dress to wear to the Empire Hops Festival. I just need to find the perfect skirt for it.
Thing Two:
The second dress for Genevieve is almost done, and I love the little neckline detail that I tried on this version! I just need to attach the shirt to the bodice, buttonholes and hem and it will be finished!
Thing Three:
Did you see Ann and Kay’s post today? Did you also see the recent post from Annie Modesittt? Would you like to team up with me to knit a blanket for her? I do not know Annie, but I think she is in need of some knitterly love. I will volunteer to seam the blanket and send it to her. So what say you? Are you up for a square or two?
Those are my things and in case you have the burning desire to see more things, head on over to Carole’s!
I had the pleasure of meeting Annie Modesitt and taking a class at the Knit In in Madison a few years ago — she’s a treasure!! I was stunned by her news. Sign me up for squares!
Also, that CRAFT t-shirt is AMAZING!!! Love it!
I would be honored to help either with knitting or donating $$ toward yarn for the blanket, I am away 8/18-9/1 so if $$ helps more let me know – you don’t know me but I know Patty who you know from MA – Sharon
I would love to be involved in this project. I look forward to knitting up some squares.
I’d love to help out with a blanket! Just let me know what you need me to do once you’ve got a plan.
anyone who volunteers to seam is going right to heaven. WOW what an offer How lovely of you!
It would be a privilege to be able to participate in a blanket for Annie. I met her and took a class with her eight or nine years ago and felt a kinship with her since my husband was going through cancer treatment at the same time as hers was. Now I have an as-yet undiagnosed problem with my back and can empathize with her in her journey to fight and recover from this horrible disease. She is very brave. Please let me know how I can help.
Genevieve’s dress is beautiful, and that shirt is perfect! It’s interesting when worlds overlap, so I hope to see a photo of you wearing your t-shirt dress at the Hops Festival, drinking a beer while knitting! Your blanket plan and seaming is so thoughtful and generous; I will be happy to knit a square or two!
Will knit squares!
That crafts t-shirt is fabulous! You’re a good person for helping with that knitting project.
Kat, I have met Annie a couple of times at the Michigan Fiber Festival. She is a wonderful person and her diagnosis is so unfortunate. I sure hope she can kick cancer’s a$$! I would love to knit a square for her. 🙂 Are you going with the Mitered Square idea or something different?
Also, Genevieve’s dress is adorable! What a lucky little girl!!!
You don’t know me, but I’ve been reading your blog for several years. I think we are practically neighbors.(I live in Mt. Lebanon) I would be honored to help with the blanket and any other else you need.
Annie has been diagnosed with the same kind of cancer I had . . . Please let me knit a square for her. 🙂
(Also. . . Genevieve’s dress is just adorable.)
XO
Genevieve’s dress is so cute. I love the bright color and the sweet little neckline. If you need another square please let me know. I’d be happy to knit one.
