I saw this poem on Saturday and have been pondering Wendell Berry’s words ever since:
To Know the Dark
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.
This winter season may you find that the dark blooms and sings for you as well!

This is one I’m going to have to read, re-read, and contemplate. Thanks for sharing, and for that absolutely gorgeous photo!
Wow, he says so much with so few words! Thank you for sharing.
That’s lovely.
I’m going to put that on the fridge and contemplate. Glad you’re going to have some extra time with Steve this season and are ready for the day. I’m getting there! 🙂
I am thrilled it is winter but a little sad that each day it will be lighter.
