If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath. — Amit Ray, Om Chanting and Meditation
Greetings Gentle Readers! How are you all doing today?
For me, it feels like I have reached the Apex of Stress, sans the downhill portion…amirite? My focus as I start this week is to remember to breathe, which is not always as easy as it sounds!
But!! There is help! Perhaps this 5-Minute Meditation will become your friend this week!
Something else to remember… drink lots of water to stay hydrated! (not tea, coffee, or something stronger, lol)
I don’t know if any of you follow the Sarcastic Lutheran on IG…she has some “spiritual Xanax” for us all tomorrow (and perhaps a reminder or two to breathe!

Just a heads up: on Election Day, at the top of each hour, I’ve asked friends to join me for a few minutes each to offer a prayer, reading, meditation, poem, song, joke -anything to help me keep it together. You’re invited to join us. Just know that each hour, there’ll be some kind of spiritual Xanax available here. #keepingittogether
I don’t know if I will have time at all tomorrow, I am figuring I will be pretty busy at the polls. Stay calm and breathe, Gentle Readers!
See you all back here on Wednesday… albeit a little later than usual!
Passing this on to a few Lutheran friends who will really appreciate this!
Spiritual Xanax sounds great!! Hope you can stay calm and breath tomorrow Kat. Take Care!
I may need some spiritual Xanax tomorrow, so thank you for the links. I hope you are busy at the polls tomorrow, with all those Biden/Harris voters making sure to vote. Breathe, keep your head up, and keep meditating, Kat!
I have been doing 10 minute meditations daily for three – four days in a row. let me say that it MIGHT be helping with my stress. You told me so, my sister told me so…I wonder why I resist what might be good for me?
Please add me to your list to receive posts. Thank you.
I don’t know — I might need some real Xanax to get through tomorrow! (And I’m very thankful right now that I’m already taking something for anxiety!) At the very least, tomorrow it will be done. We might not know the outcome for a while, but it will have been determined one way or the other. I hope you are kept busy enough at the polls tomorrow that you get distracted from the anxiety. And thank you for working!
As of last Thursday, I started taking a 30 minute yoga break late each afternoon. I always complete a gentle stretching routine each morning but decided I needed something to help with the anxious feelings. Thanks for working the polls. As everyone else writes, breathe breathe breathe.
I hope that you are able to breathe through today xxx
Spiritual Xanax sounds amazing, ha!
I hope you had a great day at the polls!
