Hopped ManhattanMakes 2 drinks2.5 ounces Wigle Hopped Whiskey2 ounces Crown Royal2 ounces Sweet Vermouth1.5 ounces Quince & Apple Rhubarb Hops2-3 drops Angostura BittersAdd all ingredients to shaker filled with ice. Stir to combine. Strain into glasses and serve with a cherry.
Winter finally arrived this week at Casa del KatKnits, with snow and bitterly cold temperatures.
Some months ago, as the local farmer’s market was winding down and autumn vegetables were abundant, we got quite a few acorn squash which have been waiting patiently in my cold cellar for their moment to shine. The weather has not cooperated, but it got very cold this week!
Start your ovens kind of weather!
Eat comfort foods kind of weather!
But big on taste!
I have had little to no success with “tender” breads, outside of rolls, but when I saw this recipe in the Sunday Recipe Roundup I decided to give it a try.
What it lacks in stature does not hinder the taste or texture.
Bonus in that I know where my problem lies and have ordered new yeast to solve it!
The marshmallows are done, bring on the Christmas!
Because…
There is nothing better than homemade marshmallows atop a warm cup of chocolate on Christmas morning.
