This was the scene that greeted me when I woke this morning.
We are again blanketed in snow and more is on the way.
While it is bitterly cold out, there was something strangely comforting about the hushed stillness of the morning.
Plus, after being outside to snap a few photos – a steaming mug of hot coffee was all the more appreciated when I came in!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
The Party of No is becoming the Party of Can’t!
That is right, the GOP who gained some great satisfaction in saying “no, no, no” to almost everything is about to become the Party of Can’t in a big way.
It seems, my fellow American, that unless you are fortunate to have health insurance coverage from your employer, the GOP is going to do everything in their power to overturn “Obama-care.”
It is a bit like a Seinfeld episode gone badly with the GOP in the role of the Soup Nazi and they are yelling “No insurance for you!”
Because after all, a nation that cares for the health and well-being of its citizens is not realistic. It just can’t be done!
Maize and Blue, that is!
It’s great to be a Michigan Wolverine!
Especially since we are now C-O-A-C-H-L-E-S-S!!!!!
Bye, R-Rod.. I wish I could say it has been great.
I found this on the blog of a knitter.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery…
There were lots of sunsets, even more knitting, and some really good food in 2010.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind?
It hardly seems possible that one year has passed, and what a year it has been.
A year that found itself filled with some wonderful highs that were unfortunately book-ended with some devastating lows.
Nevertheless, as I stand on the precipice of my second half a century – I find myself not wanting to look at what has passed, but rather at what lies ahead.
So as the year 2011 unfolds before me I see a blank slate and unlimited possibilities.
My glass is more than half-full.
Happy New Year, Gentle Reader.
