Once the Rush is Over
Carole must be reading my mind, because this week’s topic has been in the front of my brain shouting at me and making it to focus while trying to finish All Things Christmas!

Monday’s arrival was inevitable despite a weekend of fun that included seeing the new Star Wars movie (which, by the way, was fantastic), mailing packages off to the kids for Christmas, doing a bit of shopping, and warping my loom for a new weaving project.
The weekend also included some delicious Roasted Poblano Corn Chowder. So good and easy, made even better by the use of ingredients I preserved!
My list for today includes things from the mundane task of laundry to the making a new (and exotic) chicken recipe for dinner, with a bit of weaving and some knitting thrown in for good measure.
Hope your Monday is painless!
That moment when you have completed the items that you need to finish before Christmas Shipping D-Day!
The bonus comes when your sweetie surprises you with tickets to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens TODAY!!
In the two years I have lived in Pittsburgh, we have not had any snow for Christmas. In fact, both Christmas’ have been marked by unseasonably warm weather.
Winter is one of the things I miss the most about Michigan! The frosty snow blanketing the earth as if to tuck her in for a long winter.
This photo is a lovely reminder, especially today when I look outside and see green growing grass!
