This week I am joining Ginny again for her Yarn Along and the knitting was moving along fairly quickly on this poor neglected WIP – that is until the pattern asked me to change to a different needle for the next section…
That needle is currently holding this poor neglected WIP (see a pattern here?) So, rather than move on to a third project, I am determined to finish them both. Before Easter. If it kills me.
Which might be doable if I can finish up my sewing projects fairly quickly. I have been stitching up some new items from Sonya Phillip’s 100 Acts of Sewing Collection – finished 2 pairs of Pants, pockets added to this tunic I stitched some weeks ago and I have only the binding and hems to finish on a second Tunic No. One.
Sewing has been filling my brain lately, especially since my daytime reading has been focused on Lotta Jansdotter’s Everyday Style. So many ideas there, so much to consider! I think there will be a few more new additions to my wardrobe in the near future!
At night, I started reading David McCullough’s The Johnstown Flood with my Kindle app on my iPad and I am enjoying it thus far!
That is it for my Wednesday – tell me, what are you reading and knitting (or stitching!!) today?
Those WIPs seem to be in a cleverly sneaky collaboration to make you finish them! I’m currently reading A Doubter’s Almanac and Pax and knitting some alpaca fingerless mitts that I’d love to finish today. Hope springs eternal!
I’m knitting a sweater that I’ve been working on (and off) since September. I would really like to finish it. I am close. Very close. But really running out of steam. I am going to join you: I will FINISH IT before Easter. (Thank you for the inspiration.)
