This week started off deceptively slowly, however today I feel like I am chasing the snowball downhill and I am never going to catch it before it crashes into the weekend!
But, as it is I will try to grab a few minutes today to knit a bit more on my Morwenstowe Socks – maybe just a row or two. The pattern is the right combination between patterning and mindless knitting and the yarn is so lovely. Thanks Yvonne for the great suggestion!
Why so little you ask?
Well, as you can see, I am reading The Marco Effect by Jussi Adler-Olsen and it is one of those books that is impossible to put down!
Just what my week did not need – an impossible to put down book in a week with a miles long task list!
Thanks to Ginny for hosting Yarn Along, where you can find some really good reads and even better knits! Go look for yourself!
What are you reading this week?
Pretty sock! 🙂
Lovely socks! STILL reading The Outlanders. Love the book, host not much time to read.
Those socks are fabulous! I’m reading Fates and Furies – just started last night at bed time so I’m not very far along but I think it’s going to be quite good.
What pretty socks! I love the two colours together and the cable is really lovely.
I just finished reading Maya Angelou’s I know Why the Caged Bird Sings, and I’m just starting The Happiness Equation by Neil Pasricha.
Add me to the list of sock admirers; those are great colors together! I’ve been waiting for the first book in that series, The Keeper of Lost Causes, on hold at the library for what seems like forever. I’m glad to hear that it’s impossible to put down, and hope you get some serious reading time soon!
beautiful beautiful socks!! I’m reading Stephen King’s book “on writing” and thoroughly enjoying it 🙂
Those are great socks! 🙂 I lost most of last weekend with a good, long book – kind of bittersweet, isn’t it? So good you can’t put it down — but so good you can’t put it down. Y’know? (Good luck with your task list. . . )
I’ve got to check out that book!
Love the socks and the color palette! Not knitting these days as I’ve several quilting/stitching projects that demand and command my attention…so, knitting’s on hold til the fall (and it gets way to hot in Wash DC in the summer to knit, much)…the book looks interesting and I’ll add it to my list…currently reading Man Called Ove…a chapter or so a day…
Love the socks and the book sounds fab!
