It’s Tuesday and you know what that means, Carole wants to know:
Ten Things You Did This Weekend
Without any fanfare, here is my weekend recap:
- Enjoyed a Happy Hour, or two
- Grilled Brittner’s specialty hotdogs, because can It really be the fourth without a hotdog?
- Harvested things from the garden – fresh produce waits for no holiday.
- Enjoyed farm fresh corn on the cob, grilled of course!
- Listened to Garrison Keillor’s last PHC from the Hollywood Bowl.
- Listened to NPR read the Declaration of Independence – their 28th year of doing so and it is crazy that I have listened to most of them!
- Tour de Fleece spinning took place, I finished the lovely Merino Yak and am working through the Columbia rolags.
- Mystery knitting happened (although I am still not finished with Clue #4…)
- Lots of reading – I finished Dead Water and started The Summer Before the War (in my ears) and A Man Called Ove (on my Kindle) and I am still working through Big Magic.
- And, savored every single second of this glorious summer weekend because, before we know it Labor Day will be upon us.
It was really an amazing weekend, but what I want to know is how was your weekend?
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! Hope the weather in your end of PA was as spectacular as it was in our area.
I did lots of spinning this weekend too. I’m hoping to get a pound or so done by the end of the Tour. Then I’ll have yarn to knit my shawl during the Olympics. Glad you had a real nice weekend!
Yes, I am savoring the beautiful day of summer, even if some people say it is too hot (90s=not hot). Your weekend sounds relaxing and very tasty!
Bite your tongue about Labor Day! Sounds like a truly wonderful weekend.
I’m trying to finish clue 3! Tonight for sure. 🙂 looks to have been a fine weekend! That weather was glorious!
Sounds “just perfect” to me.
Superb sunsets, beautiful beans, fantastic food, and some pretty nifty knitting went on during your weekend! I’m glad you savored it all.
I listened to Ove and really liked it. I’d like to read Big Magic.
nice beautiful weekend my friend!! I had lots of family and my son is still here for two weeks 🙂 loving every minute of it.
Wonderful weekend! I loved listening to A Man Called Ove — I can’t even imagine what reading that book would have “sounded” like in my head.
