It’s Tuesday and you know what that means…Carole wants an update my Summer Bucket List to see how I am doing…
Oh boy…
Here is the link to the original post
Now, how am I doing?
Undone:
- Go to the zoo
- Eat shaved ice – Gus and Yia Yia’s to be specific
- Take a long walk along the Monongahela, Allegheny, and Ohio Rivers
- Ride on the Gateway Clipper
- Visit the Heinz History Museum
- Have one of Lucy’s World Famous Bahn Mi
Done:
- I got a pedicure
- Watched a sunrise from Mount Washington
- I have a new group of pen pals!
- Had a mini get away (1 night) this past weekend and we had happy hour, so I am counting it!
However, I need to have a frank discussion with myself about the chance of success for completing the undone. I might be able to get one or two more things completed, but 100% is highly unlikely.
I mean, it is August 2nd and there are only thirty-three days until Labor Day…There is your depressing thought for the day.
You’re welcome.
Did you have a Summer Bucket List? If yes, how are you doing?
I’m surprised that I’m at 50-60% and happy with that! I like to think of it as a general guideline… totally do-able if there weren’t 100 other things happening that I didn’t plan for or never saw coming. 😉 You’re doing GREAT!!
Ah, but summer goes until Sept. 20 or thereabouts, so you’ve got a couple more weeks past Labor Day.
I meant to copy you and do a summer bucket list, but I didn’t get around to it. I think it’s a great idea, and I hope you remind us about it next spring!
No matter how many things you have accomplished, you’re still enjoy summer to its fullest. I’ve been out in our big outdoors and loving the summer heat. September counts as summer (in my world!). The plan is to stretch it out as long as possible!
No reason to be depressed. Re-evaluate, prioritize and make the most of what’s left of summer!
Like Carole said! Grab what you can and back burner the rest. I did not make a list (tough winter…making no commitments :-)) but feel as though I’ve done okay…read a bit…getting that damn shawl done (though I did love clue 4) and enjoying some time in the kayaks. And hello…nothing sums up summer like a pedicure! 🙂
I head back to school in less than two weeks. 🙁
I’m not depressed I’m thrilled to have summer be done 🙂 I think you can do it!! Love that you are keeping track 🙂
I say … adaptability is best when it comes to goals, plans, and bucket lists! Sounds like you’re having a great summer — with or without reaching 100%.
I think that however you spend your summer that is enjoyable is just fine…and just move a few items on your list to the Fall…I imagine a walk along the rivers is great any day of the year – as long as it’s not frigid cold and a blizzard is raging…Carry on!
Cheers~
