The inability to be monogamous to knitting has always been an issue for me.
However, now the library is encouraging the same tendencies in my reading. I have been ardently listening to The Secrets of Mary Bowser, with LaRose waiting in the wings. However, LaRose is due back soon and there is a LONG wait list so I cannot renew.
So, Mary must wait while I have a LaRose marathon. I am not quite halfway though and I am not sure how I feel about the story. However, I won’t spoil any surprises for those who have not yet read it.
And, my Knitting ADD is strong – as you can see.
Triticum has one repeat and I can bind off for the shoulder – then I have a few repeats of the lace pattern only. Then I will be on sleeve island, thankfully these will not be long sleeves (as this is all the yarn I have).
I completed one sock and will cast on the second sock sometime this week.
Cladonia grows slowly and I am in love with this tweedy yarn.
Joining up with Ginny for her Yarn Along today.
Can I join your ADD support group?
Love your projects! Oh, that top yarn is lovely.
Yeah . . . I have a problem too. I have soooo many books and projects going. But I love them all! 🙂
Your projects all look wonderful! What yarn are you using for the socks? LOVE that. And Overdrive! I’ve so many books that will be coming on to my Kindle quickly (next in line) and several still on it that I need to read. A good problem though!
I’m hovering over a buy button in Amazon while I cross my fingers that my Overdrive book will become available – I’m next!!! I feel like as soon as I commit to buying my next book the library book will become available. You may have a lot of projects going on, but they’re all fab. Beautiful yarn all around!
Love your sock! The colors are a fabulous mix, so perfectly autumnal. I am a one project knitting, although I read (or listen) many books. I LOVED LaRose, but have always been an Erdrich fan.
I will also be attending the ADD support group meetings! I try to keep my number of wips manageable, but I’ve started too many good books recently. I haven’t loved everything that Erdrich has written, but am with Margene; I LOVED LaRose and still find myself thinking about it. Your knitting ADD is beautiful!
That is a very pretty sock. I hope you grow to love LaRose. I won’t hold it against you if you don’t, though, I promise.
I am listening to LaRose right now as well! Erdrich does a pretty good job of narrating…that is usually the kiss of death for me.
I’m reading two books at the same time and I rarely do that. It’s not my thing. However they are so different that I doubt I will mix up the books! I love your tweedy photo and of course all others. If we lived near each other I think we would chat forever and knit forever as well, over a cup of tea.
