September is upon us and that means FOOTBALL!
And for me, that means college football and especially MICHIGAN football!!
Why football, you ask? Well, Carole wants to know my:
10 Favorite Football Foods. (As in, your favorite things to eat while watching football.)
Well, let’s get to the starting lineup then!!
- Steve’s Buffalo Wings
- Hummus with fresh veggies
- Chili, which must have some nice warm….
- Cornbread, of course!
- Pizza – take out works so perfectly, really!
- Meatballs
- Chips and dip
- Sliders
- Nachos
- Jalapeño Poppers
Really, finger foods are key here (with the exception of the chili and cornbread!!)
Although Carole did not ask about things to drink – there should be beer!
There you have it, Gentle Reader – Football Eats! What’s on your menu?
I’m not a football watcher, nor do I eat wings very often, but I would absolutely watch football if it meant I could eat some of those delicious-looking wings, along with the rest of your feast!
It’s funny – we rarely eat while watching football on TV. My husband tailgates for college games but that is about it. Your list made me hungry!
Oh yummmmm! I’m ready for lunch!
Jalapeno Poppers seem to be carrying the day! 🙂
Not to mention salty and savory. Somehow that just goes with football!
I need to get the scoop on jalapeño poppers (saw them on Carole’s list, too) – are they fried? and here’s to College football – that’s where my heart lies, too!
sigh. football season means baseball season is almost at an end. Don’t get me wrong, football is OK….but I can count on a baseball game almost every night of the week. Maybe my reading will get a boost!!! 🙂 Enjoy!!!
Oh yes, I think beer counts as a food too-these lists are making me hungry!
No phootball in our house, but the food sounds fabulous. I love your #1 and 2, but I’d enjoy everything!
Okay, now several people have mentioned jalapeno poppers on their lists. I think for this year’s Superbowl party I must try my hand at making some…
well your house is the place to be if I was to watch football with seriousness and an empty tummy 🙂
