The sleeves march on, and sadly not as quickly as the Sigla sleeves (which is finished and getting a nice soak this morning for her unveiling later this week!)
I just have miles and miles of blue to go.
Good thing I am taking the Gilmore Girls along for the ride. I am thoroughly enjoying them, and only moderately kicking myself for not watching them sooner because, really – they are making this blue knitting so pleasant!
And, for those of you who got the Dave Brubeck nod in the title – yes, Blue Rondo A La Turk is my ear worm today.
Sadly, there has been little reading here this week. I am still not finished with Karin Fossum’s He Who Fears the Wolf, however, I am almost done listening to The Girl on the Train – I have less than an hour to go.
Stay tuned for a nice book review post coming soon with lots of good things in it.
As always, I am joining Ginny’s Yarn Along where there is lots of great knitting and fantastic reads!
What are you knitting this week?
I am loving seeing your sweater knitting pictures! Gorgeous work. I can not bring myself to wear wool sweaters especially pullovers- I would melt. The joys of hot flashes…. You need to post pictures of you wearing them.
That is a gorgeous sweater, and will be well worth the slog-of-the-sleeves. I cast on for a basic pullover sweater in a bulky-weight yarn over the weekend — because I want a “sweatshirt” AND I need some immediate gratification. Let’s just say that big yarn and big needles make for quick progress!
That sweater is beautiful and perfect GG knitting! I’m a bit envious that you haven’t watched GG before as you get to meet and enjoy everyone in Stars Hollow for the first time. Looking forward to your Sigla and book posts!
I might have to jump on the Gilmore Girls bandwagon…I have never watched it myself, but the hype has been big from everything I have seen. That colorwork is gorgeous
Love your colorwork. What pattern is it? Can’t wait to see Sigla all finished – woo-hoo!!
I never watched the Gilmore Girls. Might look at the library for some Christmas break viewing. That sweater is also lovely. Can’t wait to see your Sigla.
I love your knitting colors and choices of music and stories to share as the needles click/clack; look fwd to the Sigla reveal next week. No progress on the poncho – my attention’s been on finishing my Flower Garden quilt (hand applique´) -I am so close but still so far…hopefully the end of the month…time will tell.
Cheers~
The only thing I didn’t like about the Gilmore Girls was the final season – so I’m hoping that the upcoming 4-parter will make up for that, since the original person involved is doing it.
That sweater is looking so lovely! And I’m looking forward to the Great Unveiling later this week. 🙂
pretty pretty pretty knitting 🙂 I love gilmore girls and got choked up on the season finale (I am NOT emotional….) so there’s a future treat for you. I loved watching Rory grow up!
I can’t wait for the november 25 when netflix releases their seasons episodes.
Love your colorwork! Sigla looks amazing, I hope you will write a modeling post – I am so curious to see how it looks like!!!
what a great sweater!!! Good colours….and apparently great motivation!
What an amazing sweater! I love the colorwork and the choice of blue and white. Gilmore Girls — so good, and I’m very excited about the new episodes later this month.
Oh that sweater! The colorwork is stunning! I watched Gilmore Girls with Hannah when she was young and we enjoyed it so much. I kind of wanted to rewatch the series in anticipation of the new stuff (SO excited!) but there are so many episodes that I knew I wouldn’t have time. I’m envious that you get to enjoy it now for the first time.
Thank you, thank you for that ear worm! Just what I needed today. Your sweater is beautiful and it will be worth sticking with the miles and miles of knitting!
I love the Gilmore Girls too. That sweater looks gorgeous.
That sweater is so beautiful. No need to rush it!
I also just started watching the Gilmore Girls. I am not 100% on board yet but it could be a good “guilty pleasure” watch this winter….when no one else is home. Can’t get anyone else interested in watching with me. Could be a testosterone thing?
My Sigla also got a nice soak and is nearly dry … and I didn’t knit a single stitch yesterday! I did think about starting a hat for Charlie and a(nother!!) sweater for me. I’ve been watching Call the Midwife and I’m nearly through season 5. Thank you for reminding me I need to get on the GG re-watch.
