Fact of life is no matter if your weekend is jam-packed full of things to do or leisurely and at your own pace – Monday arrives on time. Without fail. Every.single.week.
It was a weekend of leisurely and at our own pace though – which was a good follow up to last weekend’s busy-ness.
There was some dining in and dining out – and we celebrated Steve’s birthday. There were also some reality checks like laundry and checking things off the to-do list. But, it was balanced.
This week is full – I have some follow up things to do from last week and today begins Just Five Things with Michelle GD! Today’s lists are all about gratitude and I hope to fill my lists with unexpected things as my day progresses.
This weekend also brought the reality that my diet journey will now be a solo gig going forward. Honestly, I am very scared of this. Really. I have yet to figure out how I am going to make that work and I still have a very long way to go, but I welcome any and all suggestions.
This weekend there was absolutely no knitting either. That might be the longest stretch that I have gone without picking up a project since before I started knitting! Hopefully today will bring some time to remedy that most distressing situation!
That is all I have for this busy Monday morning! How is your Monday unfolding?
Belated Happy Birthday Steve!
What? No knitting?!?!? Holy smokes!
Oh yes, Monday never takes a day off. What do you mean about going solo on your diet plan?
She thinks I quit the diet because I’ve been eating so much the past few days. xD
I think that the best indication you’ll be able to successfully manage your diet going forward is to look at how incredibly, amazingly well you’ve done over the past months. Even if this has been with Steve, YOU were still the one choosing to eat well and exercise, and I would be willing to bet that YOU can continue to do the same in the future. Here’s to some knitting and good lists!
Re: Diet. All you can do is your best every single day. Some days are going to be better/easier than others, but the most important thing is to not beat yourself up and don’t give up!!
(I give myself this talk everyday!!) 😉
Don’t sweat the diet thing, just keep being your awesome self! Steve will need to maintain and you can still work together. How come Monday can’t ever be late!!??
Monday is pretty crazy thus far (not that I’m surprised after being on vacation for a week!). I’m ready for it to be Tuesday.
Hang in there with the diet! Remember that everyone is different and loses at different rates. You can do it!
You’ve made good choices in the past and you can continue to make the same good choices. Last week was a bit too busy and the weekend was, too. I am looking forward to some relaxing days ahead!
Birthdays are good to celebrate … Mondays mostly not! Thinking about gratitude today is a good thing. The two lists I’ve written so far have kind of surprised me – so like you, I intend to try to stay “in the moment”. I do hope you get back to your knitting today (and that you don’t stress too much about the diet).
The diet? Oh, you’ve got this, Kat! One day at a time. And . . . just think about how far you’ve come! You can go ANYWHERE!
You can do anything kat!! Lovely photo and a blank page is all inspiring 🙂
I don’t think I knit a stitch either! And the diet thing…you’ve got. You’ve done it and can continue to do it! And here’s to Just Five Things! (Thank-you!)
I wouldn’t worry about the diet thing – you are used to eating better most of the time now, so I’m guessing you won’t have to give it much conscious thought.
I hope you filled that page with only good things. 🙂
