Do you ever wish you could just skip something? Or have a do-over? Yeah, me too although I am not sure if I would rather skip the weekend or have a do-over.
It started off nicely with the close out of Negroni Week. But, Saturday morning I had a nasty fall in Mt. Lebanon… downhill, hard. Yeah, so perhaps skipping the weekend is a much better idea for me. With my luck, I’d fall again in the “do-over” version! Maybe I just need to plan some recovery time for a day or two more.
I am hobbling around a bit better today and one good thing about being “laid up” over the weekend is that I spent some guilt free time just sitting and reading! I managed to fill in some squares on my Bingo Card, but more on that on Wednesday!
I also, made some changes to a sweater I was unhappily knitting. And, with a bit of gauge help from Mary I frogged Daelyn and have started knitting Stillwater… I am far enough to know that I like the fabric, especially knowing that it will bloom a bit and soften significantly when I wash it. Sometimes, changing things up is the best idea ever.
Today, my big task will be to do laundry accompanied by Marie Antoinette (who I hope to finish today) and some knitting. (and really, hauling laundry down 2 flights of stairs counts as a big task in my book!)
That was my weekend, I hope yours was much less eventful!
I hate to hear about your less-than-good weekend, and hope that you recover from your fall soon (but still benefit from the additional reading and knitting time). You have given me a funny mental picture of laundry help from Marie; “Let them eat cake and wear clean clothes!”
Sorry to hear about your fall — I hope it wasn’t anything too serious and you’re back to 100% soon! I’m also glad you were able to look on the bright side of the situation and take advantage of the recovery time.
Oh so sorry! That’s not a good way to gain additional knitting and reading time (but glad you took advantage of it). Hope you are feeling much, much better!
Oh, dear, I’m sorry to hear about your fall! I hope you are recovering quickly!
Oops. Im so clumsy I have done that more than once. I love that you are changing up your sweater pattern. You can do that !! we are the bossetts of our knitting! Feel better
oh yikes – hope you get back on your feet (sturdily, without pain!) soon!! but glad you had plenty of sitting activities to keep you occupied. I’m thinking you could save that skip or do-over for another time!
Oof, so sorry you had a bad fall!! Hope you’re on the med and that you squeeze lots of extra knitting and reading time in until you’re feeling 100 percent!
Oh my! I’m so sorry you had a bad fall! I hope you’re able to get on your feet, and out of pain, soon!
Oy. This falling business is not fun and a little dangerous. Take good care. I hope the sweater and the reading come along nicely.
I’m so sorry that you had a fall and I hope you feel better soon! Take care & enjoy your reading & knitting!
Whoa there! Slow down and let your body heal. Sorry about your fall – hope you aren’t in much pain. Maybe let the laundry wait a day or more?
Take care and pamper yourself. Feel better.
Cheers~
Oh, man. So sorry to hear about your fall. Please take the time to properly heal — because you don’t want MORE problems on top of the original fall. (I used to be a runner . . . and because of a little tumble and then NOT taking care of myself and trying to do too much too soon, I am no longer a runner. Just sayin.)
And it’s amazing how sometimes just a little tweak (or a complete re-think) can make our knitting so much more enjoyable, non?
I’m late to the party but I concur! Mobility wins over clean laundry! I hope that this far into the week you’re feeling better. I like both of those knitting projects…and am glad you have moved along in a direction that is working well!
