Ohai, Unravelers!
Happy Wednesday to you!
I am working on getting back on track with my mystery shawl – slowly, getting back on track! I am almost done with Clue #2, which puts me only 3 weeks behind!
However, I did get a lovely distraction in the mail this week from Shepherd’s Lamb! They sent me 2 skeins of their new Organic Rambouillet yarn! Oh, my it is lovely! I especially love the natural dye colors! I have yarn from 2 different sheep – Rusty Nails and Acorns! The yarn is DK weight and has 180 yards per 2-ounce skein. I am thinking that this pattern might be the perfect thing for this yarn! The yarn has been minimally processed and has a lovely, but faint, sheepy smell! Stay tuned for the FO’s next week!
Now, on to reading – no finishes this week, but hopefully next week I will have a flurry of them! And, really – I need to kick it into high gear because I had a bunch of things come off hold at the library (of course!)
What about you? Any good knits and reads this week?

I LOVE the colors in your mystery shawl and that gorgeous Rambouillet! I’m looking forward to seeing the FOs, but it’s all so lovely I hope you take time to enjoy the knitting!
You are one busy knitter and reader! My Mystery shawl is barely off the ground, but I like it very much and would love to put more time into knitting the lace. It seems library books have a way of all coming up at once. Good luck with your reading!
It looks like I am at the same spot as you on the mystery shawl. I had to re-knit about half of the lace section due to dog interference…she better not do that again!
Your shawl is looking beautiful! And the newest yarn is gorgeous! Enjoy.
Those Ferry Boat Mitts look thick warm and lovely. Good Choice.
I’m reading the Year of Living Bibically and laughing my way through it.
The author brings up Noah’s Ark and the rains often. He says it is interesting how toys are made of the ark for children and it really was not a playful time at all.
I can’t show my knitting and I talked about reading yesterday so I didn’t play along today. Don’t you love it when all of those library holds come in at once? LOL
Your shawl is coming along beautifully – that yarn … the colors, the halo, sigh… and I love the Ferryboat Mitts. Those would be toasty in the Rambouillet!
JUST (as in a couple minutes ago!!!) finished reading Homegoing….and LOVED it. Don’t know if it’s because we’re actually going to be in Ghana in the fall, or because the writing was beautiful, or the format interesting….probably all three, but I highly highly recommend this debut novel, in spite of the fact that it got some mixed reviews.
AND>>>>>ta-da! My scrappy quilt is finished!
I somehow always end up behind on mystery projects. I guess I just have too many projects to work on! Can’t wait to see your new project in the sheepy wool!
Ooh, I do like the look of that yarn! Should make some excellent mitts.
Love the colors of the shawl…looking fwd to seeing the mystery knit piece revealed…
Cheers~
I finished the rosie project which was entertaining perfect for summer reading. I have high hopes finishing my big blanket by the end of the month, fingers crossed.
READING just can’t capture me right now. I have a Fat squirrel to watch . I watched part of show me your Rhinebeck sweater.
Im knitting SMITTEN, or I am about to try to
