The time crunch has begun to get my coverall in Book Bingo…and I am feeling it! I have 2 squares to go and I am listening to both books.
I did finish Still Waters by Viveca Sten. It was an excellent book and I gave it 4 stars! I would have given it 5 stars, but for some of the tiny bits of rambling that I felt were unnecessary to the story line. I had no clue who “did it” until the very end. I will read another book in her series and see how she develops the characters. All in all, great writing!
I have been dividing my listening time between The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay and A Room with a View – talk about divergent writing! Anyways, I still have a good bit of listening to do but, my hope is that they are both done by Labor Day! A Room with a View should be done later today… then just about 12 hours left in Kavalier and Clay. I am hopeful that I will make it!
Now, on the knitting front, I am happy to share that there has been NO unraveling here this week, and even though I did not have quantity knitting time, it was quality time!
I have about 6 more inches to knit on my Angelina Pullover to get to the bottom ribbing and I am just about to add in my 4th skein of yarn. I am most pleased with how this is turning out and my hope is that I will have this done before Labor Day!
I also began clue #2 of Laura Aylor’s Sand Ripples and I am really enjoying this knit! So far, so good!
That is all I have for this week… what is good in your knitting and reading?

You can do it! (But also, won’t it be nice to read whatever we want at whatever pace we want?) This is all going to come together soon – a cover-all and another completed sweater. Your Sand Ripples colors are gorgeous!
Oh yes, you WILL get a cover-all. Bravo!! I’ve sort of given up checking off my squares. It seems as though everything I have read or am reading does not fit into any Bingo square. That’s ok, it was fun to do and, more importantly, I’m enjoying my reading. Your shawl colors are wonderful.
I LOVE the colors you’re knitting with! Both projects. The mild and the wild. Such a winning combination. And, as for the reading . . . I’m sure you’ll get the cover-all. There is plenty of time to finish those books before Labor Day! (And they are both worth savoring, so enjoy.)
You’ll have your coverall in NO time!
that orangish red is gorgeous! That is a lovely sign of autumn 🙂 Hope you get you get lots of reading time this week!
It is a good week when there has been no unraveling!
If you have not already seen it, I highly recommend the movie version of “A Room with a View” when you have finished the book. There’s a hilarious scene involving a bunch of men who decide to go skinny dipping. And of course it has Maggie Smith and Judi Dench, among many other wonderful British actors.
Your last two books are great reads (IMO) and I do believe you have read more and knit more than anyone else this summer. Good work!!
You have really read the summer BINGO books. Im Impressed lady! I finished the one book Year of Living Bibically this summer. That was it. Easily distracted, lots going on and the summer of living impromptu. Zach’s home so the plans change by the day and I go with the flow most of the time.
You will do it! And as the others have said…so many awesome accomplishments this summer! (And a big garden!)
Yay Kat! You’ve accomplished a whole lot this summer: growing tomatoes and making jam plus all that knitting and the reading! Wahoo! Congrats! What’s next on the agenda?
Cheers~
I’ve been reading some, but haven’t touched my knitting in weeks! Now that school’s back, I need the zen time! Good luck getting Bingo!
I finally finished a book!!! 😉
