Another month is over and it was a very good month for stitching! My theme was entirely based on the skies of August – deep blues, sometimes grey, sometimes cloud filled, and each spectacular! No new techniques this month but more layered fabrics. Lots of running stitches in combinations of circles and intersecting straight lines, and while I am not pre-drawing anything, this month I did use a pin head to help me start each circle.
It might be my favorite month to date.
And, really, August – you could have stayed a while longer. I loved stitching you!
Why do I think you say it’s your favorite month EVERY month!? That’s a good thing!
Another beautiful month in stitching! I love your combination of fabrics, circles, and lines. I wonder if you have an idea in your head when you start the month, or do you just start stitching and see where it leads? How do you know you’ve stitched enough for the day? This does look like August to me and it’s lovely!
I love this one! The layered fabric is wonderful. I have not picked up a needle and thread in too long. My sewing room is in the hottest part of the house, not very inviting this summer.
I love the layers of fabric and how the stitching ties everything together…I can really imagine the changing skies of August.
Another stunning month of stitching!
Gorgeous August stitching!!!
I love your blues. I love August and September and October
oh the layers, and the color palette, and the simple stitches. this might be my favorite month, too 🙂
Beatiful, beautiful, beautiful! (But why do I feel like I say that every month!)
I love the embroidery. I admire your commitment to daily stitching. My daily stitches are knitting stitches.
LOVE!! That is truly gorgeous.
Since blue is my favorite color, this month might be my favorite, too!
