The knitting is inching along nicely. I have about 7 more inches to go on the body of Ponchetta. I finished the third season of Hinterland yesterday, which gave me about 3 inches of quality knitting time! I am not sure how much knitting time there will be this weekend, but there is for sure some Michigan football knitting time on Saturday and that should be good for at least another 3 inches – slowly but surely it is getting done! I am hoping that by this time next week it will be in the FO category!
On my to do list for next week is to round up all the full-sized sheets I have and toss them in the washer before I bring them to my son. Apparently, his sweet pup has been nibbling sheets while Sam is a work. Oops! We also picked up some fleece blankets from IKEA in hopes that will help…better that Bowser chews the $3 blanket than sheets!
The yard is in desperate need of some TLC and since the Yard Fairies have not shown up, that leaves it to us. Hello Grass Cutting, Bush Trimming, and Garden Bed Clean Up – I am so happy to see you! (Okay, maybe not, ha!) Why is it that doing all those things in the spring is greeted with great enthusiasm, but the same is not true in the fall?
How about some links? There are lots of good things this week!
- Up first is BT Fall 17 – you know for certain there will be lots of goodies there!
- Or maybe Woolfolk’s Fall Collection – some interesting designers there too!
- I think this is awesome (and free!)
- Specklate proceeds are going to hurricane relief through the end of December!
- Two of us v2 (which I like better than v1 because seamless…)
- I love Campanule and the neck detail is really nice!
- Marie Greene has a new sweater pattern
- In the wrap it around your neck category there are lots of interesting knits. But, especially: Becket, True Colors, and Skógur
- Finally, some socks that just might blow your mind: Squid Chart and All is Love
That is all I have for this week! Have a fantastic weekend and I will see you all back here on Monday!!
Each link is a little treasure this morning. The hat made me go to other patterns by that designer. Al’s in the mood for a hat, so I will forward on to her!
Love the purple you are using for your Ponchetta!
Thanks, as always, for a lovely collection of links. The All Is Love socks are now in my library (though I think the pattern would look just as nice on a hat or cowl as on socks).
I like the idea of measuring football games in terms of knitting inches! I did much of my fall yard/bed/pruning work last weekend, and while it wasn’t exactly fun, I did enjoy the feeling of accomplishment on Sunday evening. Enjoy your football-knitting, sheet-washing, yard-working weekend!
There are great joys in living in a condo, but then we have a big garden that needs a lot of work and I enjoy anything that takes me outdoors. Good luck distracting the sheet-eathing dog! That’s a tough one. Poor thing must have separation anxiety.
That purple just makes my heart happy!
Count me in the purple-loving camp! Your yarn is just gorgeous.
And, yeah. About that gardening thing. It can really be a slog, come fall. (Which is why I always have such a hard time actually planting the bulbs that I buy. . . )
Have a great weekend, Kat!
That purple is gorgeous!!!
That purple is stunning-happy Friday!
Oh my, I love the color of that yarn! I’ve yet to try this brand, but it is on my list! In Monday’s mail, I should be getting my skein of Hedgehog Fibers – never used it before! I have so many yarns I want to try out…

I love the yarn! And I love the links…than-you for always sending them our way!
You really outdid yourself on the links this week. Those socks truly did blow my mind — especially the squid pattern. And I love the BT collection. There is a Norah Gaughan sweater that I fell in love with. And it’s in bulky yarn! Did you notice that some of the Woolfolks sweater patterns carried a warning that they were for advanced knitters? That is not me!
Your ponchetta is gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it finished.
Luv the purple, especially with the geranium red! Be still my beating heart! Hope; 1- you got those inches on; 2- your team/s won and 3 -the Fall yard work begun, if not done! ( A RHYME!).
Have a super Monday.
Cheers~
Fabulous links!!
The purple is AMAZING!! 😉
