This week my lists are full (yes, that is lists!) The art of list juggling is not fun, but over the weekend I made lists as I thought of things – and where I thought of those things, which was not always in my office at the “master list”. I should consolidate, but the joy of tossing a list in the trash when I am done is heady stuff!
I have some “volunteer work” to get done this week as well. And, some “volunteer knitting” to complete. I just have a repeat and then the bind off! Which is good because this needs to be done and blocked by next Saturday. So, first up on my list is to finish it while I catch up on Poldark! Then on to some apple sauce!
I hope your Monday is not too stressful!
I had to add a few things to my list this morning and now I want to add “make applesauce”! A day of chores can be stressful, but starting with knitting, Poldark, and applesauce sounds pretty good. I love the colors in that yarn!
I love the photo you shared today. It is cozy, compact and says a lot about your day. Applesauce, mmmmm. That yarn…delish. !!
Listmaking has become a meditative experience for me. Something about having it written down Seems to be a stress reliever.
For as many digital tools as there are, I don’t think I will ever cease using a hand-written to-do list. It’s so satisfying to cross things off and toss the list when everything is done!
I have been creating a running list as things pop into mind – next, I plan to categorize them…and then tackle. I don’t know that we can ever not have a variety of lists…the best thing is that we do write things down. I know for one that this ol’ brain doesn’t do so well at remembering everything.
Apple sauce sounds good…reminds me that my mom always liked a baked apple in the fall. Enjoy!
Cheers~
Lovely still life!
Mmmm, applesauce. Your knitting looks lovely! Good luck with your list(s)!!
Sounds like your list has some fun stuff and that’s good! I really like lists and often write them in my journal to make them pretty and less list-y.
I am a list free house (and therefore get little done)! Homemade applesauce would be so fantastic. My mother made it and bottled it, such a wonderful flavor! Good luck with all you have to do.
I also have applesauce on my list this week. I make a weekly master list in a little journal on Sunday afternoons. I list the absolute musts like appointments in one color and then work other items into the week. This is a holdover from weekly lesson plans as a teacher. Much more relaxed though. The knitting looks interesting- great yarn colors.
applesauce … yummm! I felt like I had a really productive day yesterday, but I didn’t make ANY progress on my to-do list. Today, that changes!
I’m catching up my blog-reading backward along the time-space continuum. . . so I already know your applesauce is CROSSED OFF! XO
Lists really do help keep me organized and less stressed. I LOVE crossing things off when I complete them.
