In high school English class I sat next to a boy who never did the reading. He leaned over to me one day and whispered, “So what are these Tides of March they’re always talking about?” I always wonder what happened to him when this day rolls around.
I also seem to remember that March 15 is the day we are supposed to plant rose bushes but I cannot remember why
Audible has a daily deal of Julius Cesar today for only .99!
Fun,interesting links. Thanks!
“Beware the Ides of March!” and “Et tu, Brute?” are pretty much all I remember of Julius Caesar. I remember liking the play well enough, but on a school trip to Stratford (Ontario), I remember having to sit through an incredibly boring production of it. I was very inconveniently seated next to or very near my English teacher, and it was a real struggle to stay awake!
I’m always glad when they are over. I love Bonny’s comment on the boy who called them the TIDES of March!
JULIUS Caesar. He’s my man.
