The knitting continues, steady and slow. I have enough yarn to do one more repeat on each side and then the joining begins!
I am also knitting my Lunar Phases MKAL, but I am refraining from sharing “spoilers” until it is done. Confession time, I have absolutely no idea where this is going, but I am loving the knitting and how it is looking thus far!
And, I have been tracing patterns to make a couple of muslins…soon some sewing will begin!
This week, I have lots of reading to unravel for you…
The Big Library Read is going on again with Flat Broke with Two Goats by Jennifer McGaha. My library is not participating this time, so I am on a surprisingly short wait list.
The PBS Newshour/NYTimes BookReview’s Now Read This has picked their book for April: The Death and Life of the Great Lakes by Dan Egan and again, I am on a very short wait list at my local library!
March was a very good month for reading for me! I finished 13 books last month and 6 of them were 5-star reads! I recommend all but Fire and Fury and A Stash of One’s Own. Each fell very flat for me and, frankly, were not worth the time it took to read them.
Currently in my ears: Armand Gamache in The Beautiful Mystery and on my iPad: Jo Nesbo’s MacBeth.
What are you unraveling this week?
If you are joining us this week, please leave the link to your post with your comment so we can visit you!
I have to admit that I have only made a couple of muslins in my rather lengthy sewing experience. I kinda wish I’d done one on my last garment, made after a long break from sewing. Do you make them often? I think I may be lazy or more impatient than I realized.
I’m so excited for Love and Ruin … and sewing! (soon, I hope, a girlfriend and I are going to get our machines together for a day …)
I wish there were some sewing classes around me that don’t pertain to quilting…I need to brush up on my skills.
Thanks for the link to the Big Read. I just downloaded the audio of Flat Broke
Looking forward to seeing your projects. You have been on quiet a reading tear. I have been listening to a couple so hope to have a few more books under my hat this month.
wow, lots of reading for you! I am excited to see your sewing project when you share. I’ve been knitting my sister a cardigan and have loved the repetitiveness of good ole stockinette stitch.
One of these days I would really like to learn to sew garments. Perhaps that’s what I’ll learn in retirement!
Your reading is quite prolific. It will be fun to see your sewing projects. I have a baby sweater on the needles and the proverbial pair of socks. Time to cast on at least one more project.

I passed your book cover post along to AL. She’ll love reading it
I am still looking for the right shawl for my new yarn……It will be my goal to enjoy looking tonight and perhaps find something
I just started The Cold Dish and I’m loving it! Thanks for the recommendation. Here’s my blog post today – http://lovelyyarnescapes.blogspot.com/2018/04/wednesdays-yarns-color-shifting-shawl.html
Nice looking forward to seeing your project! You read so many books this month! Good job 🙂

You are one speedy reader, Kat! 🙂 So many great books, there! I’m eager to get started on some sewing, too. But first . . . I need to clear a path to my sewing table! Somehow, my sewing room is my favorite place to stash . . . anything related to craft. From time to time, it gets a bit ridiculous. And it’s certainly that way right now.
Can’t wait to see your mystery revealed! Are you happy with the look so far?
I feel as though I’ve been reading/listening to the same two books for months!! And I’m only about half-way with the book-book, but will soon finish the audio one, anyway! I know I’m behind because of all the available Audible credits (may need to put that on hold for a little bit).
