I don’t care what anybody says: Nothing is better than a tomato you grow. There’s something about it that’s different than a tomato you can buy. It’s a great thing. ~ Tom Vilsack
Mr. Vilsack is so right. There is not one thing on this earth that tastes better than a homegrown tomato and my mouth is watering in anticipation.
I am partial to my one favorite home grown veggie, the carrot – it tastes like my childhood, with slight flavor of dirt after that first rinse.
So true. I hope I will get to eat tomatoes from my garden this year. Last year I only got leaves 🙁
I’ve been looking for tiny tomatoes on my own plants ever since I got back, but nothing yet. I am thrilled to see yours – such a happy sight!
Mmmm. Simply the best!!
We have the signs (and orbs) of tomatoes, too! Tomatoes are the ONLY reason to have a garden. 🙂
Yep. Tom Vilsack is absolutely right. Home-grown tomatoes taste like biting into sunshine! XO
We have a bunch of cherry tomatoes growing, but so far they’re not showing any sign of getting red. I can’t wait!
So very true!
So very true! We’ve got blossoms but no wee tomatoes yet.
No doubt-I’m so looking forward to more home grown ‘maters [as we say down here!] for several months to come.
Mine too. I have a few blossoms and a small green tomato that looks like yours.
I have only shade unless I grow tomatoes in pots on my deck. So we have to content ourselves with store-bought or — nearly as good as homegrown — farmer’s market tomatoes. I did grow cherry tomatoes one year, but the squirrel got them.
