Is there anything better than a long summer weekend? I don’t think so and we certainly made the most of it this weekend.
There was a visit to our local farmers markets where we picked up some cucumbers for pickling and more strawberries to make more jam. And, yes – pickles and jam were made!
There were good foods eaten, a cocktail or two sipped, and some time spent just enjoying the warm weather!
The weekend was even rounded out with some knitting and reading!
All that makes Monday easier to face and I am more than ready to tackle what will be a very busy week!
How about you? Did you have a good weekend?
My weekend was not too bad – picking, blanching, freezing, and eating quarts of snow peas. I love your beautiful pink and green photograph!
I love summer weekends that have a little of this (knitting) and a little of that (reading) and a lot of fun (cocktails) and productivity!
Sounds like a lovely weekend. We were away, which sounds like it should have been nice but in reality was exhausting (especially because I came home to all the weekend chores that are usually spread out but instead had to get done in a few hours).
What a lovely photo … and your weekend sounds delightful! Mine was quiet, with a lot of reading and knitting and a new-to-me Netflix show called Love. Highly recommend!
It was a high-energy weekend with lots of kid time at my house over the weekend! <3
Quiet and enjoyable; even the weathe cooperated.
Cheers~
Beautiful photo Kat! I had a great Michigan weekend as you know. I also made my annual strawberry vodka last night. Should be ready just in time for the 4th of July!
my weekend was great and it was slow with nothing pressing on the agenda 🙂 Those kind of weekends are my favorite kind!!
Yes indeed-of course it’s gonna be crazy as all get out with getting things packed, interior painting (ugh) and all that goes with moving. There will be cocktails involved every step of the way though!
