The harvest of the first cherry tomatoes truly ushers in summer.
And, it looks like summer is going to go on for a good long time, if I measure it by the bumper crop of tomatoes waiting to be ripened by the sun.
Even the little bees are excited!
But, as for me… enough dreaming about tomatoes! It is another day of knitting for me, and I better get to it!
Have a great Tuesday!
Nice! We had some last week and Fletch is picking more today (along with green beans and lettuce). Nothing like a fresh garden tomato!! Enjoy.
I’m not sure I’m going to get any tomatoes this year between fungus, the overhanging walnut tree, and not quite enough water, but I surely enjoy seeing yours (and all the ones to come)!
ahhh… homegrown tomatoes really taste like summer! (and GO KAT GO!!!)
We’ve got a bunch of little green cherry tomatoes but no red ones yet. Can’t wait!!
There is nothing better than fruit and vegetables fresh from your own garden!!!
Cherry tomatoes are the only kind we can grow here as our nights are usually too cool. Every time we tried tomatoes, no matter the kind, they produced cherry-sized ones until we got the message. Enjoy, and happy knitting!
I have literally just eaten some of the first crop of our cherry tomatoes (and they were delicious)! I am hoping we will get more than what’s currently on the vines. The plants got a little battered during last week’s storm and aren’t looking so good. Enjoy your first bites!
I’m hopeful we’ll have some sungold tomatoes soon! Enjoy your day of knitting!
Fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes just TASTE like summer! XO
