And just like that, another week draws to a close. Is it just me, or does this month seem to be moving a warp speed??
I think I have finally found the reason to have multiple projects going at once… yes, it’s true! I knit a few more rounds on my Stripey sweater and needed some time to “live with” the beige. Good thing I have some lovely round and round knitting to do which allows for LOTS of thinking! I am getting so close to the sleeve divide and before I know it I will have 15″ knit!
Dances With Wool has been sharing some amazing knitting. I loved these two posts in which Lene has shared her process of knitting a Ziggurat sweater. Beautiful knitting and beautiful blogging! If you don’t follow her, you should!
The links this week are so full of fun things!
First up… Tulip (which has lovely details, two styles, and different shaping on each sweater!)
Elton is so lovely knit in two different yarns!
Bristol Ivy’s Sashiko has an interesting construction with a play on sashiko stitching.
Are you a boot wearer? Maybe you need some Stompy Boot Socks!
Tretttiofem vantar makes me want to learn Swedish so that I can knit about a dozen of these gorgeous mitts!
Also, Vogue Knitting’s Fall issue has some lovely knits inside!
Phinela Shawl looks perfect for fall, as does the Whitewater Wrap!
Finally, for all of us fans of The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society… there is a hat!
That is all I have for today! Have an amazing weekend and I will see you back here on Monday!
P.S. My thoughts are with the people of the Carolina’s who are in pathway of Florence as are the citizens of Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover, MA. Be safe!
Those gas fires are crazy and so scary! Thanks for the great links Kat…Tulip is very nice. Have a wonderful weekend too!
Loving your knitting-in-the-round…enjoy the weekend, perhaps a bit of “dry” on the horizon,
Cheers~
Fridays are always better with your links! Sashiko jumped into my cart immediately, and as I’m fairly certain I already have a SQ of yarn that will work for it, I imagine it won’t be long before it’s on my needles.
That situation in Mass. is just crazy. I’d be scared to ever go back in my house again.
Sending good vibes to those folks and the ones facing Florence’s wrath.
Have a great weekend, Kat!
Is it just me or are there a sudden rush of drop dead gorgeous sweaters! Have you seen the September Twist Collective? Enjoy your weekend!
Love that magenta yarn!!!
Loving the Whitewater Wrap. The rest of your links are fabulous too!
Magenta!!!!!!
I also love Dances With Wool. She is incredibly creative and shares photos of her neighborhood reindeer! Those Stompy Boot Socks have a great name and also look wonderful. Thanks and have a great weekend, Kat!
Kat, the colors in your Tegna are stunning! Tulip might be the pattern that gets me back to pullovers – I LOVE LOVE LOVE that bell sleeve! and the beret … hummmm…. I think I might need one for my trip!
Ooooh that hat! And those boot socks! Love your vibrant Tegna.
Lena’s sweaters are always so inspiring! I wish I could knit faster, and more often, so I could fill my closet with sweaters, sweaters, sweaters!
it is going much too quickly, I blame the unexpected trip to Canada and my health stresses earlier. Lovely knitting, Kat!
