After last week’s bitter cold ended on Saturday! While the morning started with icy crystals they soon vanished with the sunshine and temps for the weekend hung out in the upper 50’s! And this week looks like more “spring” weather is queued up for the week!
Yeah. It was just glorious! No coats, no hats, no mittens, and yes… no socks!
I know this won’t last long, but boy is it a treat!
We made pizza and caught up on True Detective on Saturday night and this season is really very good!
We also made these wings on Sunday for the game and honestly? Way.too.salty! I was very disappointed. And, speaking of disappointment! I thought the game and the halftime show were a huge snore fest!!
But!! I did have a couple of favorite commercials… first: this gem and Alexa Fails… lol. Sherman wants that collar – yesterday!
A bit of morning contemplation on Me and White Supremacy while I sip my coffee and then its off to the normal Monday Routine with some urgency so that I can include some extra time outside to soak up the sun and warmth of this brief, but very welcome, winter respite!
How was your weekend?
P.S. Thank you, Sprite for inspiring a stop at Trader Joe’s for some sunny daffodils!
Once I saw the weather for today (50 degrees!) I got the grill out and will celebrate with hamburgers for dinner. Definitely a long walk and maybe even some knitting outdoors … this weather won’t last, so we need to enjoy it!
That football commercial was the best one. I also liked the beer one with the barrel of corn syrup.
The sunshine was so nice yesterday. Even though it wasn’t the warmest part of the day, I had to go out for a little walk before dinner to enjoy the mild temps and fresh air. Today looks lovely (I won’t get to experience it until I leave the office at 5, but at least I can get the sunshine through my office window). Enjoy!
It’s pretty mild here today and going to be even warmer tomorrow – hooray! I thought that game was pretty great. And I also bought daffodils this weekend.
We had a warm-up, but not quite like what y’all are talking about. And there is still a lot of ice-slush-gross out there, so spending time outside isn’t really an option. But it sure is easier to get around, so YAY! 🙂
I thought the game was boring and the half time show equally so. Even the commercials were a disappointment. We had wings as well that my husband made, some hot wings and some BBQ wings. Yum!!!
agree on the commercials – my Sammy wants that collar with Alexa built in – Harrison Ford can come too… The game was long and not exciting but I am very happy that our Patriots won…
Nothing’s normal here today as we (and our hills) woke up to the most snow we’ve had in a while.
Everything here is ice-covered — freezing rain all night. Enjoy your warmth!
I thought Gladys Knight’s anthem performance was the best highlight! (and I was very glad to skip up to bed with my book after halftime). Honestly, I watched because Atlanta was hosting … and I’m so glad it all went well. Fingers crossed BOTH our spring forecasts come true this week. I am more than ready!!
It was certainly a lack luster evening. I loved the NFL party commercial and totally missed the Alexa fail-awesome. I also liked the Audit and Toyota Supra cause I’m a total car gal, but loathed the Kia one. I used to live in the area where the plant is located-all I could do was shake my head. It’s a bit late but happy weekend!
