I waited until Sunday again and rushed to get some photos. My rushing did not serve me well this week – there was a light breeze, so all my shots were just a bit blurry.
The weekend was sort of a blur as well, and it seems Monday wins the race every time! I managed to squeeze in some knitting, I cut out a pattern, and pondered sleeves.
We had several visits from a Hummingbird Moth, but I was not quick enough to capture either video or a photo! What sweet little moths they are – I love watching them flit around the butterfly bush!
Also, the sunflowers I got from the farmers market have started to bloom – at least the ones I planted in the back yard! Sadly, the ones I planted in the front yard have all been eaten by the darned deer.
I hope your weekend was not at a blur! Happy Monday all!
Square buds, who knew?! I see so many things in your Macro Monday shots!
I love that little pollen-covered bee! I think next year instead of focusing on vegetables in the garden, we’ll plant stuff that attracts pollinators instead. I’m really troubled by the decline in the bee population, and the current administration certainly isn’t helping with all the environmental rules it’s rolling back.
We had a sad moment with our one surviving sunflower seedling late last week — the landscapers thought it was a weed and pulled it! Apparently if I want to grow plants from seed, I have to make big signs to put around them that say “I’m not a weed! Leave me alone!”
Nice work on the lambs ear and bee!
Those pictures look great! I saw a giant moth the other night that I thought at first was a hummingbird moth but I actually think it was something else. It was BIG – almost the size of my hand. Kinda creepy, too. I’m calling it Mothra. LOL
our butterfly bush is purple … and I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with white blooms – who knew?! also I can still see the macro details – nice work!
Square buds and a white butterfly bush. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen one with white flowers. I love the pollen on the bee. I hope the sun comes out in your neck of the woods. We’ve plenty here – with extreme heat. Always something.
Those little flower buds remind me of balloon flower… but tiny!! (I waited until Monday afternoon!!)
