The month of November makes me feel that life is passing more quickly. In an effort to slow it down, I try to fill the hours more meaningfully. – Henry Rollins
November brings bare trees, windy days, and yes – grey skies (which is exactly what greeted me this morning!)
It means woolly sweaters, extra layers, and socks on your feet!
Walks outside that include hats and mittens – but yes – outside walks!
November brings reflection that is hopefully full of gratitude.
November is my reminder that this year is almost over and brings a quiet sense of urgency to finish the year as I began.
That’s my November…what does your November look like?
Have a good weekend and I will see you all back here on Monday!
My November 1st is sunny and bright! BUT, very, very windy and much colder than yesterday. Driving home from work yesterday afternoon it was in the mid-seventies…today we’ll be lucky if it gets to 50! Hand knit socks and a cozy sweater are on!! Have a great weekend.
November is one of my favorite months, I cannot wait to be smothered in wool from head to toe! It’s really the dream of my life.
New hand knit socks for the win this week! It’s a sunny blustery day here and a reminder that it must be time to start that super delicious simple syrup for Thanksgiving!
November is a great month to get my favorite cold-weather recipes cookin’ again! (I guess it’s also the month I’ll have to break down and wear . . . socks.) Happy November, Kat.
November is when I start thinking about next year’s goals and where I want to focus. But this year I’m trying to remember to stay focused on THIS year’s goals and not get too caught up in how I want my life to be. Do everything to live my best life now.
Oh, and extra layers and pumpkin pie and apple pie and lots of hot tea and…and…and! I always say that October is my favorite month but I think it might actually be November. The weather is consistently cooler, I love how barren the trees are and walking through piles of leaves, and winter is just around the corner.
I hope you have a lovely November!
I agree with Kym that November means socks – I wore them with boots yesterday for the first time this fall. I’m thankful for the differences that come with every season although I do wish some were longer and some were shorter!
I wish my November was your November. We are still in the upper 80’s in Florida and super humid. I would love a cooler day.
I don’t love November, but it does have my favorite holiday: Thanksgiving!
Thank you, Kat – you shared a lovely November reflection. I’m honestly feeling like we’re cramming three weeks into the November that comes before Thanksgiving and then we have to squeeze December into the three weeks that come before Christmas. And I just am NOT wanting to squeeze that much! gah! (and thank goodness I don’t have a job to balance with all of that, too!) still. I am loving the cooler temperatures and wearing “cold weather knits”. lighting candles. getting cozy. xo – M.
It’s my birthday month so I love it 🙂
It’s November 13th and I’m trying to catch up! And, let me tell you, it’s COLD OUTSIDE & IT’S SNOWING! Ugh. We skipped right past fall and went straight into winter. This is not what I envisioned for November. 😉
