Who besides me feels a bit off kilter on this post-time change Monday?
My list is not off kilter at all though and here is what I have percolating this week:
I don’t know how this crossed my path on Friday, but it did and Saturday morning I headed to JoAnn’s to procure some Baby Velvet! Sometimes the impromptu gift knitting bug strikes and there is no way to ignore it! I forgot how fast things go on size 11 needles! I am almost done with one cowl and my plan is to make one more!
Tomorrow is an election day and even though this is an “off year,” it is still imperative that you all go out and vote! So, please… put that on the top of your list this for tomorrow.
I have some mending to do that I really can’t ignore any longer. My plan is to sit down, sew on buttons and fix hems while I listen to the two new episodes that dropped in the 1619 podcast!
And then there is the raking…sigh. Yep, all that rain and wind from late last week means that there are a plethora of leaves that need to be removed and bagged before pick-up next Monday.
Plus, all the “regular weekly to-do list” – it is a full week!
I hope your Monday is full of at least one or two things that you enjoy doing! See you back here on Wednesday, albeit a wee bit later than usual!
I took today off to have some time for myself and, while there are things I need to do like go to the bank, I’m going to spend some time doing things I want to do like knitting and reading. Happy Monday!
This looks amazing! I love the color you chose and think whoever receives it as a gift is very lucky! I’m so happy you are enjoying the pattern!
Okay . . . so now I have one more thing to add to my to-do list this week: look for some Baby Velvet. Because that cowl looks like perfect gift knitting! 🙂
This Monday felt a little too crazy for my taste, so I’m hoping things quiet down a bit as the week moves along!
Quick gift knitting is so satisfying! I’m sure whoever gets that lovely fuzzy cowl is going to love it.
That’s a lovely cowl! I know I won’t find any of that yarn here, but I am going to look for it when I’m in the Netherlands!
I was visiting our daughter for an overnight and I’m still playing catch up today. I guess that is what traveling does for me, and I’m getting used to it, I guess. Maybe if I didn’t over pack that would make my day easier!!
My Monday has been a tad on the busy side, but all good. Meanwhile that Baby Velvet Cowl looks amazing!
I caught up on a few chores today before I finally got out for a walk under the November sky. Tonight I plan to make a cup of tea and knit on a languishing shawl.
I hadn’t planned a trip to JoAnn’s but hey – why not!!? We have a teensy tiny election in my town today (one council seat and one tax change) which probably means turnout will be teensy tiny too 🙁
OMG. We were away when DST ended, and I thought that was such a great idea to negate some of the ill effects… until I found out that Nevada (where we were staying) changes but, right across the river, Arizona (where Rusty’s brother lives) DOES NOT! I didn’t realize it until I noticed two clocks behind the registration desk at our hotel — one for NV time and one for AZ. That was all way too taxing on my vacation brain!! Haha!
