How did it get so late so soon? – Dr. Seuss
Ahh, December! In a whirl, you are here with your darkening, colder days.
But December you also bring Christmas trees, twinkle lights, carols, the best bits of childhood memories!
There is gift giving, with the hopes that you got just the perfect gift for loved ones near and far!
December, what you be without some last-minute rush knitting! (Yes… a phone call from my son has compelled me to knit a tiny bit more so queue up those Christmas movies! lol)
And December, you bring my birthday, although I think I am a bit less enthusiastic about its arrival than I was when I was little!
Finally, Dear December, I hope that you will still bring a good helping of that “child-like wonder” to your magical days!

I love the Dr. Seuss quote and your “wonder-full” post! And you’re exhibiting one of the signs of a true knitter — dropping everything to knit for our kids when they ask for it!
That Dr. Seuss was a wise man indeed! I know that there are many wonderful things to come this month, but honestly I’d like them all to be over so I can relax! I hope that bit of holiday knitting is quick and easy so that you can get back to your WIPs.
Ah yes, the rush of December is upon us. I’m trying to enjoy it and not feel frantic. Rudolph is on TV tonight and maybe I’ll watch that. I think I saw the Grinch listed for tomorrow. Fun memories. Hope you are out of the storm zone.
I’m all for that childlike wonder! Happy December!
Thank you for reminding me of some great Christmas watching. I need to get into the spirit.
ahhh… the classic Christmas movies are indeed the best and I have happy (and not so happy!) memories of knitting miles and miles of yarn while watching (of course I also have similar memories of knitting to not-so-classics … pretty much any romantic comedy from the last 30 years?!). It does feel like December is really short this year, so no time to waste – let’s make the most of all of it!
I’m going to toss out the screwball movie Christmas in Connecticut for your viewing pleasure. 😉 Happy early birthday!
Oh December. I hope your new holiday knitting goes smoothly. How can we ever resist a request from our children? Here we go!
Ah December, even when it’s cold it’s still magical.
