January skies — a haiku
A colorless world
Grey skies from day to day, yet
birdsong hints of spring.
I hope your Monday is not colorless, but marked with moments of beauty.

Lovely and so true.
That is a lovely haiku. Hope you can find some color in your world — maybe yarn, or flowers, or both!
Did you write this haiku? It so perfectly captures today in Pittsburgh!
This is so beautiful! Out on my walk today, it’s steel grey and yet the birds are signing away….spring is on the way!
It was gray this morning but the sun just came out – hooray!
Very nice! I noticed how much more light there was in the sky on my way to work this morning…
A very lovely Monday thanks to your photo and Haiku! Merci!
lovely, Kat! the words and the photo (I’ve had a terrible time capturing birds on branches lately) We actually saw some blue skies today (with pink clouds at sunset) and I am grateful for the reminder to pay attention and say thank you!
What a lovely haiku. Today while confined to the couch nursing a bum shoulder/back I watched the sky turn all the shades of gray. It was beautiful in a wintry sort of way.
Lovely! 🙂
That haiku helps make it less bleak!
And it’s not dark at 4:30 pm anymore so there’s that…..
