Overnight, the weather has changed…dramatically. Yesterday it was windy and mild… today grey, rainy, and much cooler. It seems that this prediction is spot on, lol… I am shocked because that rarely happens! Oh, and it seems that there is some *snow* in the forecast as well. Sigh.
Here is the temperature outlook as we move into mid-October.
Below freezing temperatures and maybe even some snow showers could occur in portions of our region. Stay tuned for further updates. pic.twitter.com/CMU40i0hsV

There are bits of color popping up all around me and I maximized the Fall Feeling by baking Apple Slab Pie this week. My freezer is now stocked with a bunch of “bites” of a little something sweet.
Earlier this week Steve told me there are just six Friday’s left in the year. Wait…wut?!? Ummm, no Steve… including today, there are 10 errr, 11(thanks Karen, lol). Not much better but, my panic level receded a bit! lol
Isabell Kraemer has a new sweater pattern out… oh my it is lovely! I have color work on the brain right now!
Finally, this interview from last Friday really hit home with me. I am on the very short waitlist at my library for Maggie Smith’s new book and I can’t wait!
I hope you all have a great weekend! See you all back here on Monday!
Thank you for sharing the info about Maggie Smith. That was something I needed to hear. I do need to find “…my way into a new kind of optimism” as I often feel sad and unmotivated lately. Thanks for the inspiration and have a nice weekend.
Actually, there are 11 Fridays left, including today. 🙂 What was Steve thinking? Maybe thinking of Thanksgiving? 🙂
We finally had a freeze warning last night in MI. It is noticeably colder than it has been. I am not a fan of fall or winter. I hate wearing socks. LOL
Tiberius is lovely!!! Have you selected your colors yet?? 😉
Thanks for your corrected counting of Fridays and that Maggie Smith interview. I just downloaded Keep Moving from my library and I’m looking forward to a pleasurable read that I really need!
Only 11 Fridays till Christmas, oh boy that is not long! I love the pattern you shared and the new to be designer. Autumn/Fall has definitely arrived here the trees are wonderful colours and the temperatures are now such that socks are a definite outside.
our weather is changing today! (as in ugh, might need heat tomorrow!) and still I am in complete and total denial that I will need anything other than a light sweater, jeans, and a pair of socks to be comfortable. bourbon, however, is a welcome addition to my rotation!
It was supposed to turn chilly here today but it was so darn muggy that it didn’t feel chilly at all. We’ve gotten some much needed rain, however, and that’s good. Happy Weekend to you and Steve!
Snow?! I am not ready for that yet! Yesterday was the perfect fall day, and I’d be completely happy to have that kind of weather stick around a while.
Thanks for the link to the Maggie Smith interview; I caught the very end of it as I was driving to pick up kiddo at school. I know intellectually that Maggie Smith the poet and Maggie Smith the actress are two different people, but all the same I was surprised that she sounded so young and American! 😉
Oh my, so few Fridays left. I will need to make sure our Friday night snacks are extra special. I’ve been reading about that Maggie Smith book too.
Time for the woolens!! (but I never really stopped wearing them!) We drove up to the mountains yesterday in search of snow and found some. yay!
Your apple pie slab sounds delicious – thank you for the link!!
time is a flying!! We had super chilly days over the weekend and now we will have slight warm up and then a dip down back again. I’d love a frost to get rid of the allergies.
