Greetings, Gentle Readers.
It’s been a short-long week in my house. Short in the days which fairly flew by… long in the nights with a raging bout of insomnia that has lasted far too long. Which brings me to this morning where I find myself with a severe case of Brain Fog…I am not certain that even coffee will help today.
I did manage to get some sewing done this week and I finished up all the “brim-less” hats for little Win. I have one with brim hat to go for a trial run… is the brim too big? is the brim too small? I will soon know what modifications, if any, might need.
The big bit of work I have been doing this week is on some adjustments to my Esme tunic pattern… I changed the sleeves and the under arm scythe/darts. I finished marking everything up yesterday. My original thought was that I would begin the sewing process this morning…but with this Brain Fog that might not be the best idea. A safer bet will be to do some weeding…(it really is never-ending… sigh, lol).
And that will be a good task to do while I contemplate my reckoning with post-COVID life…so much to think about! (Thanks, Kym for that word!)
How about you? How was your short week?
However it was, I will see you back here next week! Have a great weekend all!
I’m sorry to hear about your acute Brain Fog. I thought that once the pandemic eased, my insomnia would also ease, but that has not been the case. Here’s hoping yours resolves soon and you get plenty of restful sleep. Your hats look so adorable and I’m sure they will be even more so when Win is wearing them.
My short week was long with tasks and I have a memorial service to attend tomorrow. Fingers crossed that next week is a better one all around.
Sorry about the insomnia and brain fog. I think weeding is a good activity — with any luck, it’ll expend some energy and help you sleep as well as make your garden look better. The hats are adorable!
Adorable hats Kat (love that they are reversible) and the fabric up top is lovely – is that for the tunic? Sorry about the Brain Fog (I am too familiar with that myself). It seems as though I get one good night of sleep and then several that are not good at all. Frustrating for sure. My week has been super busy again – still wading through budget things and updating spreadsheets, etc. I’ve not had much opportunity (or been awake much) to get any real stitching of knitting accomplished. And all I can think of right now (11 a.m.) is a nap! LOL
Those little hats are adorable! Sorry about the insomnia, I hope that goes away pronto.
Loving those brimless bonnets, Kat! And here’s to a weekend recovery from brain fog. May it be so.
Those hats are just Too Cute! and I can relate about the Brain Fog … thankfully we are on day FIVE of sleeping through the night again with Holly. I hope you’ve recovered some sleep this weekend – to have the necessary energy and focus for those Esmé tunic adjustments 🙂
Oh my, the fabrics for those hats is AMAZING! So cute!!
Oh insomnia. It’s no fun. I hope you slept better later on in the week. Your sewing is inspiring me.
