It’s been a week, hasn’t it? Is it just me and does it feel like we are racing on to mid-December, except that December just began?! Fortunately, the mailbag has a letter or two to share!
Dear December Weather:
Mild is nice… in January, but I really like wintry Decembers…kthxbai
Dear PowerPoint Insurrectionists,
I am not sure if you all missed the zillions of company trainings that included a PowerPoint presentation from back in the ’90’s… but they were entire snorefests. Really… I think the response is clinically known as “Insta-tune out” but your feeble attempt did provide some hilarious fodder for the Twitterverse this week. I mean… I think we all have experienced Death by PowerPoint at least once in our lives. I am just insanely grateful you have not discovered the more engaging PowerPoint Alternatives! Back in the day, the most engaging Prezi was my go to training device… just sayin’.

And finally…
Dear Easily Entertained Self:
This week you found such joy in the simple things like turning a heel and neatly picked up gusset stitches. But the greatest joy ever might have been found in a wee little Gnome Hat complete with a pocket! I love your thoughts on adding a bit of whimsical stitching to embellish that pocket with a tiny snow flake! You go girl!
Signed,
One Whimsically Happy Knitter
And with that… I will leave you all to enjoy your weekend! See you all back here on Monday!

What a cute little gnome hat! You and Vicki have the kudos from me for knitting these things. Way too fiddly for moi. I think I did experience near-death by powerpoint this week! Wishing you a whimsical weekend filled with good cheer – enjoy!!
Love the letters! Our temperatures are predicted to be near 70 tomorrow, which is very strange. At least I’m saving on heating oil. It’s a good thing we can laugh about Clippy plans a coup because otherwise, we’d cry, and I can’t wait to see your gnome. He is going to have the best wardrobe!
I’m not in any hurry for the messy winter weather, but I would prefer a stop to all these weather mood swings!
Love how your gnome is knitting up. I’m truly impressed that she can still come up with new ways to knit a gnome after all this time.
Happy weekend!
The gnome knitting photos are all just so cute! I wouldn’t mind a white Christmas but I’m also okay with mild temps and saving money on heat/wood.
What fun letters. The Gnome Hat looks darling. A little embroidery would be a very nice finishing touch.
That gnome hat! Oh Kat – how fun is that??!
I’m also a little disappointed in the weather. We had a bit of snow on the ground earlier this week but our weekend rain washed it all away. Now I’m worried we won’t have a white Christmas, which will be more disappointing to me than I care to admit.
I hope you had a great weekend!
gnome hat with pocket is the sweetest thing ever!!!
I don’t think we’ve had a wintry December in several years now, and this year is no exception. We get little dribs and drabs of snow . . . but the ground is just too warm for anything to accumlate and “stick.” (Last year, we didn’t get any “real” snow until February.) It’s very weird. I’m trying to roll with it now. But still disturbing. And that little gnome hat is VERY adorable. XO
Who knew a gnome needed a hat pocket?!! It’s the cutest thing!!
