It is my favorite day… in my favorite month. The idea that you can carry poems with you… what a delightful thing! Today we are all sharing some poems for your pockets…
Today, I am sharing one for all of us for whom sleep is, at times, elusive. Apparently, dear Billy Collins is also similarly afflicted and he has some wisdom wit for us. I have memorized this bit of wit and contemplate it all too frequently… but at least I know I am in good company!

This is a wonderful poem from Billy Collins and one I’ll think back to the next time I’m awake at 3:00 am. He can even lend some humor to insomnia!
I adore Billy Collins… he has a poem for everything! 🙂
Perfect!!! Nice to know I’m in good company when I wake in the middle of the night.
Ha! That’s great!
Such a great poem (from a great collection) by Billy Collins.
Hysterical! You know, I had a thought to look for a Billy Collins poem for today but ultimately went in another direction. Clearly, it was a good instinct!
Billy Collins is such a great poet. I love the way he writes about ordinary things – like insomnia. Hope you are having a good weekend.
