Greetings Dear Unravelers!
December is almost a week old and I have the decorating done. I have one mystery gnome in process and one ornament gnome almost done (no image because I think the recipient checks in here occasionally!)
But I do have some Back Seas that are flowing along beautifully, as you can see above! With each row, I am more in love with this knit! The pattern is just so brilliant!
This week’s painting class dropped yesterday… so that is on my list for today. Thank you all for your kind comments about my painting from Monday! You are all so sweet!
The reading this week… brilliant! I finished The Heaven & Earth Grocery Store and a new mystery from Tess Gerritsen, The Spy Coast. Both were winners, for sure! Currently in my ears is Katherine May’s Wintering (which is the perfect listen right now) and at night I am reading a new series by Viveca Sten (of the Sandhamn Murder Mystery Series.)
What about you this week? What are you consumed with?
As always, if you wrote a post to share please leave your link below and thank you!
Your knit is looking great, what a beautiful colour!
the stitch definition is fabulous and the squishiness of the yarn looks beautiful in the photo, I hope it is in real life.
Those cables! I can’t wait to see this sweater (and you’ve got me craving a cabled sweater knit of my own).
I have yet to start my mystery gnome because I’m focused on finishing up holiday gifts. I might just wait until we get to Florida and all the clues are out. I’m knitting it as a gift for my brother, who will be arriving the day before we leave, so I can have it ready to give to him then. Plus, by waiting, I can see what it will look like and make any adjustments I might need to make!
Your cabled sweater looks like it’s going to be pure delight to wear!
I picked up Heaven + Earth Grocery Store from my hold shelf yesterday. I do have one hardcopy read ahead of it, but should be good timing for Read With Us Which worked out well…
Enjoy your class today! My Wednesday is full of holiday errands. (But I’d rather do them mid-week than on the weekend! So no complaints from me.)
The texture of those cables looks more wonderful each time you post a photo! I’m imagining you happily crossing those cables and knitting gnomes with all your decorating done. I haven’t done any yet but maybe I’ll at least put up a wreath today.
Super cabling, it’s a real skill, terrific knitting
I just want to SQUISH that!!
I am LOVING your sweater, Kat. It’s gorgeous — and I can’t believe how quickly you’re progressing! I just finished creating (and ordering) my annual family calendar (or the “Fam-Cal” as it’s lovingly known). It’s a lot of tedious work, but everyone always loves having it. XO
Those cables are popping beautifully! I’m enjoying the mystery gnome knitting, too!
That sweater is just gorgeous. I hope to decorate this weekend. I sewed aprons this past week. My sewing skills are rusty to say the least. I am just into The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. I think it will live up to the hype. My laptop is being cleaned up and repaired so finding blogs and commenting via my iPad is not as easy.
