Welcome to the Mondayist Monday… the Monday after the Spring Forward time change. Are you all back on track yet? I am better than yesterday but still not feeling “right”.
Yesterday, Old Man Winter reminded us all that Winter Is Not Over. We had wild winds and white-out snow squalls that popped up through out the day. I found it curious that 30°F feels a LOT colder after a string of 60°+ days… and with the wind chill I was bundled up like I was heading to the Arctic Circle for Sherman’s walks yesterday. (In sharp contrast to my insane neighbor who was sporting a t-shirt and shorts when he was outside!)
There was no “Oscar Watching” here yesterday…it might have been fun, but honestly I was struggling to stay awake after dinner and was counting the minutes until bedtime!
There was a big moment that occurred last week though… on Thursday I hit Day 50 in my 100 day Journey! Yes, I am half way through this journey… 10 pages done and I am still having so much fun!
And with that I will get back to my “usually” scheduled Monday Tasks… See you all back here on Wednesday!
For once the time change is not bothering me (maybe because I’m retired now?). Not sure why, but I’m grateful! The winds are still fierce here, but the sun is out, the sky is blue and there is NO snow! LOL. I’m just going to take it easy today after not sleeping all that well thanks to the wind.
I had to spend some time carefully perusing your stitching pages, and they are stunning! Each one is unique and lovely in its own way and I look forward to seeing the results of your next 50 days. The return to winter weather has me wishing I had cast on those warm mitts I was considering, and I’m not looking forward to 40 mph gusts today. But I hope you have a nice warm Monday no matter what the weather is like outdoors.
Your stitch pages are such treasures, Kat! Curious — do you stop after 15 minutes/day? Or do you sometimes keep going? These look to me like they’d be hard to put down. And something about stitching is so soothing, meditative… love seeing your progress.
Time changes never faze me much — I think it’s because my sleep is so inconsistent anyway! (Travel time changes don’t bother me either.) I’ve never slept right…or well…since my first child was born. But I guess there are *some* upsides to that!?
I think the one with the chickens is my favorite, but they are all cute. Congrats on hitting the half way mark.
Happy stitching.
P.S. Time change really didn’t affect me. On the other hand, I wake up when I wake up, go to bed when I am tired, and have no place I really need to be early in the morning.
That weather yesterday was just bonkers! I certainly hope that’s the last snow we see until next winter!
I’m not adjusted to the time change yet — but that’s probably because I slept poorly Saturday night. I did watch the Oscars, and I was thankful they started an hour earlier so I wasn’t even tempted to stay up late.
Beautiful stitching, Kat!! So far, so good here with the time change… a low-key weekend, that included several hours of napping (which, apparently, I needed) might have been the key. Hope you feel more adjusted soon!!
Pairing the time change with the Oscars was rough, I tell ya! I got up this morning feeling already excited about going to bed tomight!
Love your book pages, congratulations on keeping it up. British Summer time doesn’t begin here until Easter Sunday, but the days are noticeably longer. Still raining though.
