Is one where we can hold sadness and celebration in the same breath.
- Today, I am saddened about President Biden (who might be the greatest president of my lifetime…) and his decision to step aside.
- Today, I am celebrating the elevation of Vice President Harris to Presidential nominee. I am with her. Joy-FULLY with her!
I hope your Monday includes the same.
See you all back here on Wednesday.
It is a time to hold joy and sadness at the same time. I hope President Biden is okay, and I would imagine he might even feel a sense of relief. Our goal is still to unite and defeat T****. That may be my knitting mantra for the next 105 days!
I have been thinking about writing President Biden a letter — something I’ve never done before — because of how much respect I have for his putting the country ahead of everything. I know how hard that decision was to make, but I think it was the right one. And I feel a teeny bit more hopeful now! There’s still a long way to go and it’s still going to be close, but I think things are moving in the right direction.
The change is good and was definitely needed. I am cautiously hopeful.
Yes, both joy & sadness. I wish President Biden well and am so grateful for his lifetime of service!
Your words say it all. Like others I respect President Biden for putting the country ahead of himself. I woke this a.m. feeling a little bit more hopeful. I’m reminded of a song I like, “you can do this hard thing.”
Life is about to become very interesting in your part of the world
Good luck to all concerned
I cannot keep up with the breaking news!! I’d like a weekend when nothing happens.
