Is for celebrating simplicity. (and it does not get much simpler than my holiday decorating this year! Ha! Frankie-proof FTW!)
This is it, gentler readers, holiday crunch time has arrived! In my house, that means to break out the flour and sugar and do a bit of baking!
I hope your week is less you “rush(ing) home with treasures” and more “all is calm” time! (and I do so very hope there are lights that give you a spot of brightness!)
I will see you all back here on Wednesday with my 2024 Making review!
Happy Monday everyone!
Your mantel is very festive! I hope you have fun baking.
Having Franklin around is a good excuse to not overdo the decorating! Enjoy that baking.
I love how festive and bright your mantel looks, Kat! Enjoy your baking and sampling a goodie or two.
It’s just lovely, Kat! I think less . . . is more! XO
Isn’t it great the way things you wouldn’t think would go together just have to be given a chance to show their worth. Your gnomes look right at home next to shiny Christmas baubles and a nativity.
As you say – all up high, nothing ground level.
What a pretty mantel. I also simplified our holiday decor and am quite happy with the result. Great minds think alike. I spent the afternoon baking my Gram’s recipe for Spritz cookies.
Oh yes, things have calmed right down for me. I have three weeks of blissful at home time with a couple of interludes to spend with family. I have just been a lovely walk and then settled down with my recipe books to plan some tasty wintery dinners for me.
I have finally given in and ordered the Search Press gnome book, I think I always knew I would!
Love that your puppy proofing includes Gnome sightings.
