Is all about distractions.
I don’t know about you, but I am very much in need of distractions right now!
Distraction One…

Little 3-color paintings…such fun!
I found some scraps of watercolor paper, so I broke them down into eight very small pieces. My plan… a little series of “three color” paintings. My three colors: Daniel Smith Quinacridone Burnt Orange, Holbein Royal Blue, and American Journey New Gamboge. I am having so much fun playing with these three colors and my imagination.
Distraction Two…
Emergence Magazine sent out an Engagement Guide for their Shifting Landscape Film Series so I began revisiting the series yesterday with the guide in hand.
Distraction Three…
I am fortunate to have had “early access” to a new yarn collaboration and my yarn will arrive today! I am excited to knit for the first time with this extra special Atlas!
Of course, the usual “distractions” are also on my list this week…Yes, I am talking about you bathroom and kitchen floors!
See you all back here on Wednesday with some Unraveling!
I LOVE your three-color paintings, and the color names are also quite something! And that Atlas is gorgeous! Enjoy your necessary diversions and I hope you’ll share your new yarn with us on Wednesday.
These look like great distracting activities. I really like the watercolors and the yarn looks like it will be really fun to work with!
Your watercolors are charming – what a great idea to just use 3 colors. The new yarn looks gorgeous – what will you be making with it?
I love the idea of “three colors.” Looking forward to seeing what you’re planning with the Mad*Atlas!!
What fun you seem to be having with those watercolors! It seems to me that limiting color is better for creativity than having all of them. Can’t wait to see your new yarn (and what you make with it)!
Those paintings are so sweet! I don’t think the floors count as distractions, though, those are just plain old chores.
The paintings are so lovely. I like the colors together. New yarn is always a great distraction. As for the bathroom and the kitchen floor, those distractions will always be there. I have a few distraction like that of my own.
love hour watercoloring!! Send me that inspiration and enthusiasm, I need it!
