As summer continues to be warm and muggy I am trying to stay in the present rather than dreaming of autumn. But the struggle is real! I really am over the constant hum of the AC… and, more honestly, I am so over the AC is running all the time electric bills!
I do have some family updates to share. My son and my daughter-in-law learned last week that their twins are girls!
And I can finally share some news that I have been keeping under my hat for some time now… my Heidi is also pregnant and due in early November. They are not finding out “what they are having” and they are working on getting ready to welcome another baby to their house! (but she is very happy it is just one baby versus the twins her brother is having… ha!)
Hitting the Nana Lottery is a very good thing! I am almost doubling the number of grandkids I have this year… from four to seven just like that!

A friend of mine who was approved for adoption a year ago just got a call to come and meet her son this past Thursday. It was so nice to see it work out so quickly!

I hear you on the heat. I tucked an ice pack between my sports bra and tank top last evening and sat in front of a fan. It was all I could think of to manage the heat + humidity!
